Elijah
Of course he would never be voted a starter over Wade, A.I. or even Vince, but come on people. They have Luke Ridnour ahead of Derrick Rose (LOL), who's ahead of JJ. Luke (A.K.A. Christian Laettner Jr.) is the worst defender in the NBA and is averaging 10 & 6, LOL. Rajon Rondo didn't even crack the top 11. Why are fans so ignorant?

lunar
the all-star vote only matters for the top 2 players. the rest are selected by coaches. luke won't be seeing any part of the all-star game.
JoeJohnson2
the all-star vote only matters for the top 2 players. the rest are selected by coaches. luke won't be seeing any part of the all-star game. Fan voting is beyond pathetic for every all-star game. I wish fans would be smart enough to say "Oh, well I vote for letting the people who know who's good pick the teams, that way I am ensured a good game", but instead, it's "Let the fans choose the match up they want to see!" In every sport, fan voting is horribly skewed to host cities, or markets with high internet users like Boston and Seattle. Joe Johnson will never be voted into an All-Star Game, and neither will any other Atlanta athlete again unless he's an undeniable, surefire All-Star, that even opposing fans know is great. That is something this city has never had aside from a few standout pitchers and Chipper on the Braves, 'Nique Wilkins, and maybe the 03-06 era Michael Vick. Atlanta fans are just too apathetic to keep up with the Bostons and New Yorks of the sporting world when it comes to voting for their favorite player. Frankly, it's because we have better things to do but still, it helps explain why Joe is 11th. Edited December 26, 2008 by JoeJohnson2
exodus
JJ will have a little more competition this year. Ray Allen is currently Boston's leading scorer, shooting very well. He didn't make it last year and could easily get picked this year. Vince is having a strong year too.

Vince should probably get in over him.

Davin Harris is probably a sure thing and if the Hawks have a better record than NJ it will probably be hard for them to take Vince unless he outperforms JJ by a wide margin. They would be reluctant to take two players from NJ and none from the Hawks if the Hawks have a better record.
BusBoyIsBack
I don't think he will get in this year. Guys like Iverson and Harris take up two more guard spots
jaywalker72
Guys, having Joe out of the Top 10 in voting in the East is as inexcusable as not having a sellout at home for the NBA Finals. It will be a straight felony if he is not in the All-Star game this year, but it will be our shame if he doesn't show better in the voting. Really, a lot of fan bases would give a lot to have a scorer on the level of Joe on their team. We just wrote over at the HHB that he is really this Hawks generations' Bernard King, and if folks are focused on where his warts might be, they are going to miss one of the all-timers here. That is all.
