phoostal
If the Lakers are going to be hell bent on keeping Dwight, mainly because he is younger than Kobe. Also Kobe has only two years left on his contract and is on the downside of his career as well as possibly retiring at the end of the contract. Would you as Ferry trade Josh for Kobe? Don't know about what it takes salary wise to match up, but we would still have picks in this year and some flexibility under the cap. Interesting thought? Who knows I may do it. Moderators PSSSHHHRRR87 Posted February 19, 2013 Moderators Report Share Posted February 19, 2013 Kobe makes $30 mil next season and is on his way out. Plus, the Lakers want to keep him in their realm of greats. Being a Hawk would almost be a stain on Kobe's legacy, so might just retire or null the trade if that were happen. GST
I think Kobe is one of 4 players in the NBA that has a no trade clause. I don't see him waiving it to come to Atlanta.

You watch your mouth "Dan Marino is the best ever" Never gets a fair shake when it comes to the media. He is the only untouchable in the trade front.

Bamalawdawg
We could trade Josh and Al for Kobe. That would be a horrific trade for us and a great one for the Lakers though. Or we could do Josh, Harris, and Korver or Zaza then sign 10 day guys to fill roster. That would be terrible for LA. Besides the fact Kobe would never agree it is a tough one to make the salaries work. To make a fair deal you probably need to swap 3-4 players each and ATL would have to include Teague, Josh, and expirings for Kobe along with Metta.
