Premium Member Jody23 Posted June 10, 2013 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 10, 2013 And there's a rumor that Illy is being traded to one of the teams in the top 5 of the draft for their pick. Sounds ridiculous to me but maybe that's what Ferry had in mind when he wanted Illy was so that he could move him for a pick. I think it was because Ersan is a good perimeter shooter with the ability to play the 3 and on a good contract.
Premium Member Jody23 Posted June 10, 2013 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 10, 2013 Or just maybe Ferry valued the rights to Monte more than he does Josh.I seriously doubt that. Monta is every bit the chucker and bad shot selection specialist that Josh is, but only worse defensively. Ersan would have been the long term takeaway from that deal. Monta would have just provided cap space at the end of the year.

Irsan would fill our void at the 3 spot. If the Bucks had not made a coaching change we or another team may have stole him. But once they did, he started getting his minutes and played good basketball the remainder of the season.

He's a nice player that I'd love to have on the Hawks but he's not someone you trade a top 5 pick for.

But at the end of the day, the Bucks valued him enough to trade Bogut for him. That is not a bag of peanuts type trade value.
NBASupes
Monta Ellis is getting massively underrated. He is a man with a numerous amount of flaws but like Smoove, if used correctly can be valuable for you.

Ellis would fit well next to D12 and Horford so I understood Ferry's logic.

The max offers teams can make are set in stone, its just a matter of where they want to play. We can absolutely get both. Will we is a whole different ball game. Plan B, C, and D. I think Ferry has multiple targets in FA and the draft. Edited June 10, 2013 by Buzzard

That is not a bag of peanuts type trade value. The Bucks also wanted out of Bogut's contract since he couldn't stay healthy. They were also wanting to get rid of the cancer known as Stephen Jackson. Honestly I think they would have taken any player in return to not have to deal with those 2 headaches anymore.

I think they'll both do a dog and pony show..oh, I mean due diligence. Dwight moreso than Chris. I think they both already have ideas as to where they want to be but will allow themselves to be wined and dined first.

I don't have a read on Paul other than he does not seem to be the dog and pony type player and D12 most certainly is.

It is still more likely D12 = LAL then Houston.Clearly if CP3 wants to leave LA and play in ATL it could be CP3 and D12= ATL.

Because he will be worshiped here in Houston and Dwight really likes that type of attention. In LAL he's got to share the spotlight with Blake and Kobe and he won't have that problem in Houston as even though the Rockets have the beard he's not a spotlight type. Houston is hands down a better team than us without Josh; and they can sign D12 outright without him having to take a pay cut. If we sign CP3 and D12, one or both have to take cuts. I am using logic not what the media says.

They had the best defense in the last 15 games in the NBA and they finished the 2nd half of the season with one of the best records in the NBA. Besides, Houston is one of the most overrated teams in the NBA right now. We might be one of the most underrated.

I don't think anyone is being over or underrated here. LA may be the better team on paper, but the most seasoned starter for Houston was Harden ( 4 years in the league ). Needless to say, the Lakers are a whole lot older as in dinsaur old compared to the Rockets.
