coachx
Everyone seems to have blinders on for a wing. KJ McDaniels is guy not mentioned here but should be. He was a 1 man team at Clemson and is probably the best wing defender in the draft. Ask Jabari Parker how good he is.
nathan2331
I'm on his bandwagon. He's not especially quick (at least I think), but man can he jump out the gym. Worse case scenario, he's Tony Allen. If we get him, I'm sure we can work on his offensive game just like we improved Carroll's. He's got elite 2-way potential. Premium Member Jody23 Posted May 18, 2014 Premium Member Report Share Posted May 18, 2014 Interesting prospect who should get some consideration if he's not gone by 15. He'll have to work on that shot and handle though.
DrReality
In some mocks he's at the top of the second round. That would be a steal. But I've heard pundits of the draft say there are so many guys who have declared..........some will not be drafted. I'd like to see us trade up into the top of the second to get someone like him. Moderators PSSSHHHRRR87 Posted May 18, 2014 Moderators Report Share Posted May 18, 2014 Draftexpress has him as the best athlete in the draft. Sounds like a winner in the second round. I think someone last first round will take him though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5Lr26ORJ_o

AmishBoy
I hate that I paid so much attention to combine and Zach Lavine has piqued my intestest. That said, I stll like K.J. He compares himself to Paul George. I hope he can become that good.

McDermott is the most NBA-ready player in the draft and the best shooter and Danny loves shooters. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdyZC31AFRc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLwWxfkTEI0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ux6G0gedYR4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhT1bxOAB0M
Premium Member hawkman Posted May 19, 2014 Premium Member Report Share Posted May 19, 2014 Despite the fact that we are out of the lottery, I still think there are plenty of quality wing players available where we are picking. A lot of sleepers out there.
coachx
I like McDermott too. I'm more interested in what he can do......not so much what he can't. I can't see any plausible scenerio of him being there at 15 though.

I just keep imagining KK and McDermott on the floor at the same time shooting teams to death. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This kid is balling out in Philly........of course minutes and structured play are non issues for him there. A lot of posters were questioning why I had him rated in the top 15 for last years draft. http://www.nba.com/sixers/news/141204-rookie-ladder http://www.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on-basketball/24853421/ranking-the-rookies-philadelphias-kj-mcdaniels-makes-his-move Edited December 23, 2014 by coachx
ATLien_
I really wanted the Hawks to trade up to end of the first and pick him once he dropped. He could be a great change of pace to Kyle. Tenacious D tremendous athlete and can create his own shot when needed.
nathan2331
Think he'd have been redundant now since we signed Bazemore into that developmental SG role. Glad to see him find success with the Sixers though.

ATLien_
The draft was before we picked up Bazemore and Thabo. That's when we wanted him.

Just needs to build muscle so he can finish through contact better. Terrible comparison.
