Falcon's defense last season - Pitiful!

 

With a new coach and new and improved lineman, along with more

experienced backs, defense has gone down hill.  When you consider

PITIFUL! as describing last season, what can we say about this year's?

 

Sunday, the Falcons defense looked much like some of our smaller schools

who become the sacrificial lamb for the power house, top ten college teams

that must rack up huge early wins when the try to impress everyone how

great they are.  The small schools play these games for money with no hope

of being competitive.

 

When changes are made, we hope they are for the better.  I'm sure the Falcons

felt this way.  So far, it hasn't worked.  Is it because the coach don't really know

what he's doing or is it because the new players and the old, returning players

are too stupid to follow directions?  If not this, then what is the problem?

Heard a commentator, former coach in the NFL, said that the Falcons talent on the defense is in the bottom three in the league.  If that's the case it ain't the coordinator.  Can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit.

That's true for the most part, but whatever scheme they're running sometimes confused me. Kroy or Osi dropping back in coverage on a WR? Really? The LB core is lacking.
