You get a free ticket and can usually bring a guest with you.  You also get free popcorn and soda.  Discounts on apparel would be awesome but I haven't seen that one.  They send out a quiz on Sundays asking which games you can go to and how many people you would like to bring.  You receive an email the night before or morning of the game with a list of people who are awarded tickets for that game.

There seem to be some rules though right.   Seems like you're not allowed to leave your seat during the game and have to stay to the end.   I'm guessing maybe someone keeps track of that and it could affect you coming back?   Just curious.

Yeah, you have to wear Hawks gear and stand up and cheer while the game is live.  You are supposed to stay for the entire game as well.  They probably wouldn't appreciate it if they hooked you up with free tickets and then you stayed on your phone and didn't pay much attention to the game.

 

Pretty simple requests if you ask me.

I've been a Squawker for a few years now, but I just started buying tickets last yer. I have season tickets now with my brother and I have wondered if there were any other Squawkers who regularly went to games.

I've got a half season ticket package. If you want to grab a beer at a game sometime just gimme a holler.

While I rarely post here (little time for it), I read regularly for many, many years. I've had full season tickets since the year the Hawks took Boston to 7 games in the playoffs.

I often wonder how common this is, that people lurk the message boards instead of participating. And not just message boards, but also articles.

I recall reading something somewhere that only 1% of readers comment on the internet...that seemed to be the case for articles but I wonder how much it is for message boards.

This message board would not nearly be as much fun for me if all I did was read opinions.

What I woud do if i was the owner of the Hawks?

 

I would buy 30 tickets in the same area for Hawks fan for all road games. Just to have teh support for the team on the road. I think that would be dope. Im trying to see how i can get to this mavericks game and get back in time for work the next day without missing PT formation lol

I wish i lived in ATL. I would be there faithfully. I would be there with a dam bullhorn and drums, like im at a Seattle Sounders Match.

You so need to start bringing Squawkers to the games.  You will be the only who can say he has hung out with a massive list of Squawk celebrities like Diesel, JayBirdHawk, hawksfanatic, etc. in person!

 

After you buy hawksfanatic a beer shot of rumple, you can tell us about all the econ groupies that follow him around hoping that his rays of sunshine will brighten their day.

I commented occasionally at one time, but my day job was too demanding for me to do more. For what it's worth, I spend a lot more time reading here (looking for news about the Hawks more than speculation) than I spend on Facebook. And I'm a big fan of the Squawk and the Hawks who attends every game unless I'm traveling, in section 117, right next to the Kia 6th Man section. Just not big into commenting, probably because I'm a baby boomer. Really just wanted folks to know that some Squawkers do attend games.

I'm pretty sure that the 6th man section posts a lot on the reddit version of Hawksquawk: http://www.reddit.com/r/AtlantaHawks/so it isn't like these people never go on the internet. They just don't like this message board for whatever reason.

As for paid 6th man section...I doubt it. I think @PSSSHHHRRR87 is getting this mixed up with "Squad Six" that Andrew Bogut started: http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/65688147.htmlwhere he actually paid for the section. Then later on the Bucks covered the costs.

The Hawks used to have a Fanatical Fans section back in the early 00s that was pretty much identical to the 6th man section. No one seems to remember it on this board because no one goes to games here. But it existed and was glorious. Then once the A$G took over they cut off the program at the tail end of the 04-05 season. Motherfuckers tried to act like it never existed either whenever I went straight to management about it. This was all part of those pieces of shit at the A$G cutting costs and alienating fans, they'd rather ignore things as opposed to addressing the issue. I hadn't thought about this program in a while but now I'm pissed off. And oh look, I've talked about this before!
