I only recently realized that it's proper etiquette for local NBA commentators to refrain from being homers for their teams. Listening to games from around the league on NBATV and Nique, it's hard to tell, much less so on the radio. I thank Steve for that. He's our own Tommy Heinson without the drunk old curmudgeon. Many of my favorite moments from last year came when I was on the road listening to him go fully ham.

I'd say the one thing about Holman that's different is that he will criticize the hawks when they are screwing up.   He's definitely a homer but when Josh was here he didn't pull any punches about shot selection.
