Premium Member Diesel Posted June 30, 2016 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 30, 2016 Rumor is that we will be trading for a BU PG. When you look over the list of guys who are in the league who can fit what we do... There are some... Let's go down the list: 1. Patty Mills. Obvious choice. He fits what we do well. IF San Antonio go Conley shopping, then he could be our man. 2. Eric Bledsoe. Phoenix is not built right. I think like us, they had a PG jam. Now they may look to allievaite that by trading one. They get out of a longer contract for some shorter ones. 3. Shelvin Mack. Return of the Mack. I get the feeling that Quinn is done with Mack now that they have Exum and Hill coming in. 4. Rodney Stuckey. Stuckey was never what Indy needed or any team needed. He's not a pure PG but he has size at the PG position. 5. Shaun Livingston. I would call this a move to protect the future. Maybe there's a defender that GS wants from our team. Moreover, he gives size and consistency to the position. 6. J. J. Barea - I know... This is a tough callbecause he does attack but he's older. Less threatening. 7. Jose Calderon - The Bulls probably would trade Calderon in a heartbeat if they could. 8. Lou Williams - Vet. Scorer. Attacker. Lakers are cleaning up... Other possibilities may be sign and trades.

He has had the chance to be mentored by the GREAT Jason Kidd and Kidd has given up on him. Something is wrong with the BBIQ and because of that, I don't see Bud looking his way.

I see a young Livingston. Explosive and athletic.... Just a freak as a point guard physically. I WANT him here to backup Dennis simply because he's everything Dennis isn't which would make him perfect as the 2nd guy in our 1/2 punch

MrYellow
My ideas: - a defensive one (Livingston, he would be great) - a cheap one (Burke, even if he sucks) - an experienced one opportunity (Jack?)

What exactly is he that Dennis isn't - taller?

I decided to steer clear of those comments. 10 minutes ago, Watchman said: Hard to imagine Bledsoe willingly taking a supporting role to Dennis. Agreed. Just say no to the Lebron-repped guys. Trouble waiting to happen.

Despite this, we don't have the assets to get to him either, and he's been included in our BU pg list? it's just silly.

He may not be willing but his choices will be limited. He can't stay healthy and he's coming to a new team.
Dnice
I saw a headline where Jarret got waived if no one else saw.

RamblinCharger
Jack or trade for Collison. Those seem like the best fits to me. We need a veteran to backup Dennis. I'd also be perfectly fine with Mack coming back, or if we can steal Shaun Livingston from GS that would be great but I'm not sure why they'd let him go. hazer
Rebuilding Nets waive Jarrett Jack, will look for PG in free agency Unable to trade Jarrett Jack, the Nets released him Thursday. Nathaniel S. Butler/NBAE/Getty Images 4:43 PM ET Mike MazzeoESPN Staff Writer Facebook Twitter Pinterest Email print comment The Brooklyn Nets have waived point guard Jarrett Jack, the team announced Thursday. The Nets tried to trade Jack but were unable to do so. They had a Thursday deadline on Jack's $6.3 million team option, of which just $500,000 was guaranteed. The Nets are on the hook for that $500,000 partial guarantee unless another team claims Jack off waivers. Brooklyn can stretch that $500,000 out over three seasons to save some additional cap space. The 32-year-old veteran averaged 12.8 points on 39.1 percent shooting in 32 games last year before his season was cut short by an injury to his right ACL. The rebuilding Nets have a need at point guard in free agency and are interested in Jeremy Lin, who is himself interested in the Nets, according to multiple sources. Lin developed into an overnight sensation in New York after working with then-Knicks assistant Kenny Atkinson, who is now the Nets head coach. Other point guards on the market include Mike Conley, Rajon Rondo and Brandon Jennings. Brooklyn has been linked to former NBA player Sergio Rodriguez, who has been playing for Real Madrid.
