What a difference a couple days make!

Thanks to the Hawks stepping it up and the Raps tempering the heat, a tenth-consecutive trip to the Playoffs requires either of: (A) a Hawks victory in the last three games; or, (B) a heat defeat at the hands of either the Wizards or the Cavs.

9. Miami (ATL Magic Stiff-Arm Number 1)

@ WAS, vs CLE, vs WAS

8. Indiana (ATL Magic Stiff-Arm Number 2)

@ ORL, @ PHI, vs ATL

7. Chicago (ATL Magic Stiff-Arm Number 1)

@ BKN, vs ORL, vs BKN

6. Milwaukee (ATL Magic Stiff-Arm Number 2)

@ PHI, vs CHA, @ BOS

Still a chance the Hawks manage to miss the playoffs.  A chance, albeit  a small one,  but a chance nonetheless.  Don't think the odds are as low as my boy @Spud2Nique says they are though.

Lets take a look at the remaining schedules for Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, and Indiana.  I am safely putting Milwaukee in at this point.

Atlanta 39-37 with games against @Nets, Celtics, @Cavaliers, Cavaliers, Hornets, @Pacers

1-5 or 2-4 is a real possibility.

Bulls 37-39

@Pelicans, Knicks, @76ers, @Nets, Magic, Nets

They should at the worst to 5-1 down the stretch.

Heat 37-39

Nuggets, @Hornets, @Raptors, @Wizards, Cavaliers, Wizards

Toughest schedule remaining, but have been one of the best teams for the last two months.  I could see a split of 3-3 for them.

Pacers 37-39

@Cavaliers, Raptors, Bucks, @Magic, @76ers, Hawks

Tough way to finish, but with two teams that they are battling against on the schedule they can make a case or they can fall to the waste side.  They should win 2.  Could win 3 or 4 just well.

My guesses are Bulls 42-40, Heat40-42, Hawks 40-42, Pacers 40-42.  Not sure the tie-breakers, but right now I firmly put Mikwaukee and Chicago as 5/6 seeds.

I got ya! Let's ride!
