Popular Post Admin
Only 1* series and we even lost that one. That was the 2007 near miracle where we got spanked in game 7 by the Celtics but damn we gave them a serious run for their money. Since then it's been nothing but barely beating teams we were much better than like the Whiz, Bucks, etc and getting absolutely beaten to death by teams like the Cavs. Every season since 2007 we've gone into the post season on an embarrassing note and feeling shame over our performance*. Will this year be yet another of those? I'm praying that these boys are still confident and that Dwight comes out and plays with fire. Praying that Millsaps struggles vs Morris are mostly because of not being healthy, and praying that Dennis decides to get others some easy looks instead if only looking for his own points. Who knows maybe we won't even have to talk THj into not wanting to hang himself just because he's struggling with his shot. * The one exception would be the Cav series 2 years ago where even though we got spanked I was still proud of the team for fighting like they did despite not having Korver, DMC or Thabo. Popular Post Alex
I loved the 2014 series against Indiana. Had every opportunity to take down a one seed and even though they choked away in game 6 and 7, it was a fun series I thought.

Premium Member Wretch Posted April 22, 2017 Premium Member Report Share Posted April 22, 2017 07-08 was definitely the season that I appreciated the most during this run. 2014-2015 was such a dramatic change in my life (not to mention our success just snuck up on me) that I couldn't fully appreciate it. I did enjoy this little bit of revenge in 2011:
Guest
Most have mentioned the ones I enjoyed the most.... Against Boston 2007, against Orlando 2010, against Indy 2014 - all underdogs but played some spirited basketball.
AUhawksfan
Yeah besides the series mentioned, probably my favorite game itself was when we went into Chicago and took Game 1 against them in the 2nd round Rest of the series didn't go as well but I loved that game. Thomas
So no John Drew or Dominique allowed, huh. Three or four decades of Hawk's playoffs seems like three or four weeks these days to me. A memory collusion thing I guess.

That one was worth the money for Zaza head butting KG and also yelling "Seven!!" into a microphone after the win in game six on our floor. Great theatre. Trout7
Any other city would have more success out of 10 straight playoff appearances.
benhillboy
I thought we would win that Pacers series (without Alice) going in. So close. Funny no one mentioned going to the Conference Finals. The way they went, with the split-second late buzzer beater by Pierce being reviewed on the road was a buzzkill. The Hawks had been playing poorly that whole playoffs, it wasn't nearly as joyous as I thought it would be. We all know how that turned out. I almost rather they didn't go to prevent Kyle suffering a career-altering injury. Edited April 22, 2017 by benhillboy
NBASupes
I enjoyed the Washington v. Atlanta that got us to the ECF
BudBall
Our 8th seed matches against Boston and Indy were the most hype I ever felt.
