Spud2nique
Remember, this is your list. You can name the Horford’s and Karl Malone’s and everyone in between. Pau’s list got me inspired. Don’t be like Pau and put 11 dudes on the list though .. 10 please. Spud’s list: 1. Michael Jordan 2. Bill Russell 3. Kareem Abdul (not Adbul Paaauu) Jabbar 4. Oscar 5. Magic 6. Bird 7. Hakeem 8. Kobe 9. Shaq 10. Nique 11. Wilt (in case I can’t count on my fingers like Pau..) * I had issues with putting folks I never saw live on my list but it’s the of ’s and I’ve seen tape. 8/11 I saw live, with the exception of Russell, Wilt and Oscar. I couldn’t leave those legends off MY list. As Tony Montana would say… JOOOOUUURRRRRR TUUUURRRNNNN ps @kg01 when somebody gives you a good box of cigars, you don’t need to necessarily get addicted to it in 1 week, just sayin. {takes deep breath }
Premium Member Diesel Posted August 12, 2023 Premium Member Report Share Posted August 12, 2023 Diesel's top 20 alltime... Jordan (the goat). Kareem - Put some respect on his name. Kobe Lebron - Longevity has its place. Magic Bird Curry Oscar Hakeem Duncan Shaq Russell - The best winner of all time. Wilt - The big dipper. The most dominant until Shaq. Malone - Don't like him but respect him. Stockton - Maybe should be higher than Malone. KD Barkley Nique Jokic Giannis

I like Russell but I don't think he be dominant enough to make the top 10. He was certainly mean enough. That's Wilt's problem. He was plenty dominant but not mean.
djjob23
djjob23’s Top 10 All Time (super tough to stop at just 10): Michael “Air” Jordan (GOAT) Bill “Mr. 11 Rings” Russell Kareem “The Captain” Abdul-Jabbar LeBron “King” James Tim “Mr. Fundamental” Duncan Wilt “The Stilt” Chamberlain Ervin “Magic” Johnson Larry “Legend” Bird Shaq “Diesel” O’Neal Steph “Chef” Curry Generationally, players naturally become better than their predecessors due to influence, but I tried to filter that out because players should be celebrated by how dominant they were over who they played against. This is fun and I’d be down to do more installments of this. 11-20, 21-30, etc. Edited August 12, 2023 by djjob23 1

There's a question that goes unasked in basketball.... Had Jordan Not retired, would Hakeem have rings? There's a few more... Did the Bubble give Lebron his 4th ring? Would Curry have another ring had KD and Klay not gone down with ACL injuries? Did Lebron picking a fight with Draymond, secure Cleveland's only Chip? 1

If only I could show my 11-20 (rule follower here lol). You named 3 of the next 4 on my list. I flipped Curry ahead of Hakeem due to his elite shooting, but was definitely conflicted with that rank and would likely flip based on my mood. 7 out of 10 days Hakeem goes ahead of Curry, but not today. As for your questions, I’d say: Had Jordan Not retired, would Hakeem have rings? At least 1 of the Rockets rings would be in jeopardy. Did the Bubble give Lebron his 4th ring? The bubble season should still be valid, but the bubble style definitely catered more to LeBron’s strengths. Would Curry have another ring had KD and Klay not gone down with ACL injuries? I’d say yes. Toronto wouldn’t have stood a chance against a healthy GS. Did Lebron picking a fight with Draymond, secure Cleveland's only Chip? Steph and Klay both shot under 30% in Game 7 (can’t win games with that), but LeBron definitely needed that motivation from Draymond to take them to the promised land. I think Curry's offense puts him in... he has changed a generation. I think Hakeem's defense and the dream shake puts him in. One of the most dominant defensive players... with a dream shake... He's up there. 3 hours ago, djjob23 said: Did the Bubble give Lebron his 4th ring? The bubble season should still be valid, but the bubble style definitely catered more to LeBron’s strengths. I just remember PG13 and Kawhi protesting the bubble and looking like they were throwing the game 7 against Denver. Clipps would have walked passed the Lakers. 3 hours ago, djjob23 said: Would Curry have another ring had KD and Klay not gone down with ACL injuries? I’d say yes. Toronto wouldn’t have stood a chance against a healthy GS. Without KD, the Warriors were on their way to victory. Then Klay went down. Sad to say but Toronto were gifted that Chip. 3 hours ago, djjob23 said: Did Lebron picking a fight with Draymond, secure Cleveland's only Chip? Cleveland were on their way to a loss. Bron goated Draymond into a suspension and the next game, Bogut got hurt. That gave Cleveland the win. 1

Spud2nique
@Diesel @djjob23 @akay @AHF Had Duncan at 10th, 5th, 6th and 6th respectively on their lists.. I didn’t. I could be missing something. I mean, to be fair, I didn’t have Karl Malone on my list of the top 10 either so maybe I just hate generational power forwards. I didn’t even have KG (debateable he was on Pau’s list), no Dirk either… yea, apparently I hate power forwards. This could explain the JJ hate but how come not Siakam then..
