at the expense of starting a flame war on this board I think the question needs to be asked.

What exactly has the Joe Johnson sign and trade netted us as fans?

Most importantly, he allowed us to get rid of Diaw.

Well without him I guess we'd have about 4 to 5 wins. Realistically I think he's getting worn out. Tlue's and Speedy's injuries at the same time have been killer.Still, we are so weak at the center position that I don't know if we are ready for prime time even without the injuries.

A little respect and double the win total. Do you really want this team to go back to looking how they did in the 13 win season? I admit I want to tank the season. I don't want any part of this team looking like that ever again. Thanks to Woodson though that might be possible.

We have two garbage cans at center.

Our starting and backup pgs are hurt.

We have several young wings who have talent but are still learning the game.

Yet someone wants to criticize a guy averaging 25 ppg, having a career year. He had 29 pts tonight against a good defensive team completely focused on stopping him.

But somehow JJ is at fault.

I probably speak for many when I say that I do not like the tone of this post. Why are so many people focusing on the strongest part of our franchise (JJ) and leaving out the weakest parts (Coaching, PGs, Centers, youth, GM, etc.)? Lets stop bashing the move that brought in our brightest star and let's start focusing on our real problems.

You know you are right, without JJ this team has about 6-8 wins. After all of this "rebuilding", the numerous lottery picks, several free agent signings...OMG, we are WORSE than that 13-69 team without JJ. We are in BK's 4th year and we are still a laughingstock, really THE laughingstock because Memphis was in the playoffs last year.Somebody please tell me...how do Billy Knight and Woodson STILL have jobs after all of these "moves" that have us 4 years into rebuilding and still at rock bottom?

We're not any better with Joe as we were without him. Different ways to not break thirty wins in a season is just moving chairs around on the deck of the Titanic.

i'm not saying it is Joe's fault we have 13 wins right now. there is a larger picture here. try to act like a sponge.
