  1. Hawks definitely look like an elite team so far in March. Hopefully they can end the season strong and carry over some momentum to the playoffs.
  2. Schröder is going to be on his way to becoming a perennial all star in a couple of seasons.
  3. Defense in the late 70s and early 80s was a freaking joke.
  4. Whelp this is the worst post I've ever read in my life. Pete Maravich is an overrated player that put up big scoring numbers while being incredibly inefficient (24 point average on 21 shots = terrible). He hogged the ball like crazy, his teams were crap, his coaches didn't like him, his teammates didn't really like him either. If you're definition of good is having nice highlights then I guess yes Pete Maravich was an amazing player but otherwise there is nothing statistically that puts him in the category of anything above better than average. Curry on the other hand is having the most dominant season since the three point line was invented... he is going to be the first unanimous MVP and one of a handful of players who has won MVP in back to back years. So yea. This post is ridiculous.
  5. yea dude, I hear you. Bud turned Demarre into a 16 million dollar a year player, and people questioned his ability to groom Tim. An infinitely more skilled player. Boggled my mind why no one wanted to stay patient and put faith in the coach who has given the best basketball this city has seen in decades... but that's just me. Happy Bud is proving us believers right.
  6. I think we are starting to see the beginning of that. With the way Baze has played since his hot start we really need Timmy to continue playing this way and to take more of his minutes.
  7. The more they talk the more foolish they look bro. Never questioned Bud decision to bring in Hardaway and to ease him in the way he did. Now that the playoffs are right around the corner we are unleashing everyone and we are looking more and more like a better defensive version of last years team by the game.
  8. You should be getting paid for these brotha. Some quality journalism right there.
  9. lol, and what makes you think he would win in the East? Don't you still have to beat GS or SA to win the trophy???
  10. of course we all want KD, but the truth is, odds are he is staying in OKC. Despite Russel Westbrook's emergence there isn't a rift between the two stars, in fact they are good friends, and they have shown this year that they can both play together at an MVP level. OKC is only missing some depth and they would be as good as any team in the League including the Spurs and Warriors.
  11. I say keep him as starter a few games, rest Baze, and see if he can keep it up. This team is starving for offense on the wings.
  12. Close, but I like our victories more than Charlotte's. They have been feasting on the scrap heap for the most part.
  13. People need to have a little more faith in Bud Ball. This shit works. If we continue to start hitting threes like we have the last couple of games, look out playoffs.
  14. no team playing better than the Hawks in the East right now. FACT.
  15. Tim was nothing short of spectacular in his first start. 21 points on 11 shots, 7 boards, 4 assists, and his now customary great defense. I guess now we see what the front office saw in Timmy when they traded the pick for him.
  16. Shout out to Mike Scott; and Hardaway who have improved their defense. However, according to the article Scott is ranked 1 in defensive rating???? This is totally incorrect lol
  17. Lebron was more of a bum last year.... until the playoffs.
  18. The most impressive thing of all was the confidence Bud showed in him. Seeing him get 8th man minutes in his first game as a Hawks was impressive. I doubt he will continue to have this level of play and he will have nights where he is going to look terrible on offense but we needed the depth badly after losing Tiago and to know that Kris is a quick learner of our concepts on defense and offense and that he will be able to step right into Splitter's role is huge.
  19. We need people to make shots so he would be a welcome addition. Unfortunately he wasn't cut in time.
  20. He was putting up good numbers overall but he has been unable to hit outside shots ALL year this year, and starting with his injury last season, so the observation is definitely a valid one. However, I doubt it's his injury though, and I'd chalk it up to variance instead. Paul was never a pure shooter and It's very possible that the type of shooting Paul showed his first couple of seasons here is his peak form and he is merely regressing towards his personal mean this year.
  21. Bazes overall numbers look good, but his game has fallen off a cliff since the start of January. If he is going to continue to play this way we need to find a replacement, because despite the massive misconception on this board the biggest reason we have struggled is not defense or rebounding it is a lack of shooting from the wings.
  22. Sky is the limit for Dennis IMO. The dude is a phenomenal athlete and he has a ton of skills. He just needs to figure out the mental part and he will be a great one.
  23. Yes, the problem has been the shooting. It is very simple. Al Hoford's "dissapointing" season is the same caliber of season he had last season when we won 60 games. Jeff Teague playing well under par for him and the shooting is the difference between this year and last year's team. It has been crystal clear to me for some time.
  24. Yes rebounds is a better defensive indicator than points given up. Of course!
