I don't get why Joe smith get criticized cause the guy never plays.

Just like most of the fans expected anyway. Even if he's Chris Paul in his rookie year, Woody wouldn't play him but a minimal amount of minutes.

Well, sometimes a dunker can make a name for himself if he's "wows" people. Ideally, you want the most athletic athlete to compete so that means Josh Smith, Lebron, Kobe, Howard and Andre Iquodalalala.

I don't think Joe and Crawford in at the same time is going to work well. If Bibby is with them then the defense will be aweful. If Marvin is with them then the offense will be aweful (no flow). They need to find a way to sit Joe when Crawford's playing and vice versa.

Uh. Jeff Teague only play 10mpg right now ; he just can't come in and be a productive starter right away. Woodson doesn't trust him (or any other rookie pg) enough to run the show. This starting unit is fine. Bibby is a great 3 pt shooter that compliments iso Joe pretty well and he often bails out the offense with the threes. Until Jeff Teague can shoot 3 pointers as well as Bibby, he's going to ride the bench. However, I like him to have more minutes in order to develop his play making abilities because his play is a little erratic right now.

I can see it go up if they replace Zaza with Joe Smith as the big off the bench.

Bibby's not the problem. The Hawks need Bibby to win games. The problem here is play Bibby, Crawford and Joe together down the stretch. Bibby and JOe is okay but Bibby and Jamal= worst defensive backcourt in nba.

Exactly. Josh rebounding will be key in the Hawks matchups with the big boys. It's also the key in him making the all star and all defensive team.

What the hell is J.Smith doing tonight? Shooting up jumpers after jumpers; the one that really hurt was the one he jack up in OT with 2 minutes to go all tied up. Is his elbow alright...what's the deal ? He did have a tough night being in foul trouble and all, but taking out the frustration by forcing up shots isn't going to cut it.

Beats me. He's just an overly competitive guy who wants his team to play at a higher level. It is expected after 5 years. I'm not sure if his word are magnified now that the Hawks are winning. I agree with everything he said in his interviews. Even in the win today he said the the team still gave up 100 points and that they need to pick the defense intensity on every play. The Hawks need to take that extra step into elite status and I'm not seeing it with Woodson as head potato.

Bibby is fine. Zaza is a black hole on the second unit.

Solo's not starting material but he's a very solid bench player who can provide 7,5,2 every night. Hawks was foolish to let him go since I assume he can be had for cheap.

Exactly. Although Law may average 15mins/game from his rookie season... it just didn't feel like that because of all the 30 seconds cameo and DNPs between games. Teague needs to see the floor every game... at least 5-10 minutes per.

Well, at least he now thought the team has enough talent to be in the playoffs. Federer has dropped a level from his glory days (he seems untouchable back then), but still has enough in him to pull out a win against the best Roddick that I've ever seen him play. His serve was amazing like always, but it's his other stuff that got him into the finals.
