Premium Member Diesel Posted January 24, 2006 Premium Member Report Share Posted January 24, 2006 I figured after we beat the brakes off of Indy they would do something to stop the slide... However, Peja doesn't help that much.
WraithSentinel
All it took was for the Hawks to beat the Pacers to finally make the deal happen.
Johnnybravo4
Boo to BK for not having the gonads to do that deal.
Traceman
team to motivate you into making a deal! It will be interesting to see how many other deals happen now that Artest is off the market. As for Peja, he can't hurt and assuming he can regain his form, he and O'Neal can form a nice inside outside combo. Also, they can't help but benefit by having Jax go from their 2nd option to their 3rd option on offense. I REALLY like the deal for SAC. When Bonzi and Reef get healthy, Miller/Reef/Artest/Bonzi/Bibby SHOULD be a pretty darn good starting lineup.
Moderators macdaddy Posted January 24, 2006 Moderators Report Share Posted January 24, 2006 Or they could have a lot of locker room fights in Sac-town!

exodus
Hey chillz, looks like they did a little better than George plus filler after all.
TheDude
if bibby can dish the ball around, they could be pretty good.
kooshdoctor
sactown is going to be great. it's really a shame we couldn't get rid of al for ron. that would probably be one of the few deals that i could actually be happy about. but i'd imagine bibby and miller are pretty happy over there in sacto. probably pretty sick of losing already
Lascar78
espn reporting that artest does not want to be in sacramento and will try to force a trade. He will report to play, but will do his best to be traded LOL Ron took about 2 hours to start sh!t in his new town
Lascar78
Sacramento now officially renounces the deal because Artest doesn't want to play there. Maybe those who are furious that we didn't get Ron now understand why BK didn't want to risk it. I doubt he wanted to play here. It's too bad because he is so damn talented. What an @sshole
Traceman
I love the guy's talent but MAN! WOW! I guess at this point, Indy should say okay Ronnie, where do you want to play and then go get the best deal possible. He can't have very much value right now. Watch him end up in LA for peanuts. warcore
deal never happened, it was called off because artest said no to it. i wonder if indiana has to have his permission...
Traceman
for a guy who doesn't want to play for you? I certainly don't blame the Kings for saying no thanks.
Lascar78
no they don't, but sacramento found out before the deal was official, and didn't want to deal with it. Theoretically, if sacramento accepted it, the deal would go through and artest would be forced to play, and would receive no pay if he didn't. I wonder how pissed peja is right now another team screwed by ron

Ron is a top 10 player in the NBA, but he's worth more than a Peja that's on the decline. Although, I must say that Ron is a jerk as a person. Artest is not a top 10 player...especially now with tis fiasco. 2. What an odd situation. According to ESPN right now, they are calling a wednesday morning meeting to talk with Ron and see if he will accept the trade. What a mess.
