1st..Exactly how many championships has Donnie Walsh won???

2nd..Yeah, it would be great to play like Phoenix but since your idol(BK) doesn't believe in real point guards that will never happen here..You saw what happened in Phoenix when JJ was used at the point..It wasn't pretty..Sorta looked like us.

3rd..BK is the master of setting low expectations..Be patient, relax, it going to take at least 5 years..That All BS from someone that doesn't want anyone to expect results..You bought it, good for you.

Sports talk aside, the scary thing to me is that KB is studying to be a doctor. I really hope that his behavior and attitude he shows on this board will not carry over into his profession. Imagine a doctor who is stubborn, arrogant, and insists on being right all the time.

Doctors have a tendency to act like they are gods in the first place. From what I know about KB I would never put my life in his hands. Good luck in your studies, and I hope you change a lot before you begin treating people.

He's earned it because of the way the two Josh's have developed under him in their two years and the way Marvin developed as the year progressed. You can't sit there and bash him for Boris not doing a damn thing in Atlanta, and then not give him any credit for the development of the three players that actually put forth some effort.

I'm not the one that shows bad behavior. When I get mad, it is in response to an idiot that has attacked me first.

I can't help it that the overall intelligence of this board has declined rapidly since its inception.

How do you know they wouldn't thrive under a new coach? You really can't give him all of the credit when he's the only pro coach they've had.

Boris has played for three coaches. He grew a little under Stots, completely regressed under Woodson, and thrived this year.

Woody hasn't earned this free pass you're giving him.

How can a coach be considered a failure when in his second season, he doubled the win total from his first season and has done a great job with the development of every young player on this roster with the exception of Boris Diaw?

It makes very little sense to fire a coach who has doubled his win total because some of you foolishly believe he is the reason that Boris Diaw didn't develop here. You completely ignore the fac that Boris Diaw has only himself to blame for his failure in Atlanta.

I did not call Woodson a failure. The words I used were:

Quote:

BK may have missed when he selected Woodson as our coach.

If Woodson continues to falter, BK needs to have the integrity and intestinal fortitude to realize he made a mistake and correct said mistake.

Here are a couple of thoughts on Woodon:

His 1st year he completely missed the fact (this is what a fact truly is BK) that Diaw is a pretty good post up player. He played him primarily at SF, SG, and PG. Now the win total in his 2nd year is ok but going from the worse team in the NBA to the fourth worse team in the NBA is not that big of a jump. Here's a couple of questions:

Do we expect Woodson to double the win total next year?

or

Do we expect him to lead our team to the 8th worse record in the NBA?

Woodson has to prove himself. He really needs to be damn sure of this all the time, he is putting the best players on the court and he is using them to max out their talent and skill.

I don't beleive Woodson does the above all the time. Maybe with another year of experience he will start doing this. The bottom line is BK drafts the talent and it is the coaches job to maximize the use of that talent.

One other item on this topic:

The hiring of a coach, along with aquiring talent, is a direct reflection on the competence of the GM. I like what BK has done in the draft; but if Woodson does not improve, he is going to have to trash his buddy system and hire a coach that can get the most out of our talent.

Boris put up better numbers under Woodson than he did Stotts. He didn't regress at all. His points per forty went up, assists per forty went up, PER rating went up, USG rating went up, and his turnovers went down.

Look, your smarmy manner and patronizing attitude do not help you out here. Name-calling, insulting the people on this board....what are you, 12 years old? Grow the hell up.

Diesel at least is funny. You just come across as an overbearing, pompous jerk.

They tried playing Boris at every possible position to get him to do something, and he never showed any interest in becoming the player he was capable of becoming.

I cannot recall a time when Boris started at center. And if he did, how long did the experiment last?

We are the 4th worse team in the NBA and you think someone has earned something! Man I would like to work for you!

Could you imagine the meltdown that would have happened on this board if Mike Woodson had put Boris Diaw at power forward or center?

Just think about that for a while. We've got people on here saying that there is no way Josh Smith can play power forward in the NBA. What do you think they would have said if we had tried Boris at power forward?

People would have been calling for Mike's head for playing Boris out of position. Plus, you forget that Boris wanted to be a point guard. That's what he was playing for Pau Orthez in France.

I am sorry. So this is a discussion about us; I thought this was a discussion about our coach ...

Since when did I come to this board looking for help?

This board has legitimately become one that has very few posters that I respect anymore, and it seems like they don't post enough.

Jason Walker, Chillz, Traceman, Moonknight, cyman, graymule, exodus, Lascar, Wretch, Weez, f-town, CBAReject, Frosgrim......these are people that I can actually have an intelligent conversation with.

And so like any good Republican, you have to lie to make things sound better??

Hmm?

How's that working for you??

Hmm. what are some saying about KB...

I regret that the comments utility on my blogsites will no longer be active. I hadn’t really received many comments up to now anyway. When I did, they came from a variety of viewpoints, some agreeing, some disagreeing with the positions I had taken on a variety of issues. Most comments were civil, and I think my responses were at least on par regarding levels of reason and etiquette.

A certain Jacobin clown calling himself K.B. has thoroughly infected another site that takes similar positions as this one (which we may loosely define as “conservative / libertarian”). This particular “troll” has been the topic of a couple of recent posts. He’s now brought his style of fervent leftist bile to my own site and even e-mailed me once with a similar style of “I’m right – you must agree with me to be human” Leftism.

I like comments. I wish I had received more actually. As already stated, there have been a few that have reasonably disagreed with my stand on certain issues, some making good, convincing points.

“K.B.’s” style of comment, as stated in earlier posts, is inflexible, aggressive, and arrogant and, to make a long story short, unwelcome on my site.

Blog sites are cheap – this one is free (another example of “capitalist exploitation and hegemony?”). This blogsite is mine, to express my views. K.B. can certainly start his own to express his views or continue to scan the many sites that have “proven” to him that America is bad and communism and communist dictatorships are good.

The obsessive and fervent nature of this guy’s comments are a bit creepy when they show up in an e-mail box or -- literally -- pages of blog comments. Using another person’s blog's comments section to post links to sites “proving” that Che Guevara was really a great guy, or that communist dictatorships pale in comparison to America’s evil is no less than advertising a different product in someone else’s “store.” Of course the usual phony whine of “censorship” and “crushing dissent” is likely to be cried in response to my actions, but it’s hardly censorship when unwelcome "guests" are lounging about in one’s living room and you want them to leave. If one published a book (not all that dissimilar to posting on a blog), one certainly wouldn’t, in the name of “free speech,” tolerate seeing their effort on bookstore shelves with an opponent’s rebuttal’s inserted.

Write your own book / get your own blog – very simple, free speech for everyone.

K.B. could certainly express his haughty self-righteous authoritarian Leftism on a blog site of his own but seems to prefer the annoying practice of haunting other’s sites. Why he feels the need to wedge his foot into the doors of those who don’t want his socialist product sometimes seems to boarder on harassment. A door to door proselytizer is an annoyance. One who continually returns after being told that their product isn’t wanted is a bit pushy to say the least.

As I have stated before – in so many words -- regarding “K.B.” and all leftists:

1. You are not superior human beings.

2. You may or may not be intelligent. In either case, one’s level of intelligence does not necessarily coincide with the truth of one’s stance on particular issues.

3. A person is not automatically wrong, bad, or stupid because they’re not excited about your heroes or ideals.

4. You may or may not be morally sound or morally superior and others are not automatically the opposite merely because they’ve come to different conclusions regarding the important issues of the day.

5. In essence, you are not better people with the right to cram your authoritarian / “egalitarian” vision down other’s throats.

6. …go away.

My dislike for the odd brand of demagogue that has emerged in the left of our time has grown the more I encounter them. I think the libertarian right in general can justifiably say to these freaks, “Leave us alone!”

Now, get your own blog, and…get a life.[/quote[

I don't understand why people think Boris didn't want to be successful? From what I've seen, it seems to me that Boris was asked to play a role that didn't suit him. He just didn't decide this year that he was going to be a good player.

And what role was that? To hit open shots, help distribute, and rebound?

Guess what. That's exactly what he's doing in Phoenix. While I might not agree completely with KB's assertions, he's right about Diaw.

Am I the only one who remembers the rumors about Boris going back to Europe? I also remember him complaining about the "language barrier." Yet, on TNT the other night I was able to understand him just fine.

You can blame the coach if you want, but it's simply too coincidental that he suddenly was able to do the same things in Phoenix that he wasn't able to do in Atlanta.
