Why aren't the benches being emptied?

I just checked back in and saw the lead. My first thought was SURELY JJ is getting some much deserved rest.......NOPE! He was running the friggin' play! Just damn!

I'm sure it won't be much longer. This isn't hockey where you make an entire line change at once. Our bench guys might not have the stamina to play a quarter and a half either.

Fact is, the easy answer to this is "Becasue it's Woodson" Both JJ and probably Bibby will play 35 or so mins tonight. Watch. While Richardson, Solo, and West barely play.

Bibby has only played 20 minutes, 29 for JJ. The benches are in there other than Marvin who just came back into the game. I seriously doubt you will see JJ or Bibby back in there tonight.

I think we just saw why Woody was reluctant to empty the bench. Those scrubs came in and let Memphis run through them like a hot knife through butter. Just disgraceful.

Sigh. Our bench does indeed suck tho. We gotta find a way to infuse it with more offense and defensive talent. It's ridiculous.

Ok, the bench sucked last night but I am still unsure why Woodson can't rest JJ more. Play Smith, Horford and Marvin as much as needed.

JJ came out of the game after playing 29 minutes and if the bench hadn't blown it that would have been more than enough rest for him considering we are off tonight. None of our starters would have gone over 30 but in just a couple of minutes time they went on a 9-0 run and Woody did the right thing by getting the starters back out there when he did.

Woody proves time and time again that he knows this team much better than people give him credit for. Yet, he's always the idiot . . . until the players prove why they don't play.

Something that seems to have gone unrecognized from last night as well was that Woody got our starters back in there early enough to where they could get warmed up and into the flow of the game before it was completely out of hand. Had he waited until they were within 10-12 we might have lost the game.

When the bench comes into the game they need to play like we are in a close game and not try and run the clock. They played very tentatively last night and that's definitely not the way to play.
