exodus
JR's EFG percentage on jumpers was 57%. For comparison purposes JJ's was 47.5%.

Where are the suspensions then or Team disciplinary actions against him?

TheDude
Quote: J.R. Rider produced too when he was playing. he's not JRRider and we won't be trading our team for him nor will we be breaking the bank for him. JrRider is a different scenario. I don't know why some posters are hating on this guy! Yes, you do You're just choosing to ignore us. J.R. Smith, according to fans of both the Hornets and the Nuggets, is terribly inconsistent, plays little to no defense, isn't a team player, gets lost on the court frequently, plays with little to no basketball IQ, and has a poor work ethic. Yay! Sounds exciting!

Yay! Sounds exciting! The Nuggets gave up 1.1 ppg fewer when JR was playing while the Hawks gave up 4.2 ppg more when Childress was playing. JR got more assists than Childress in 10 fewer minutes per game. The key issue is that over half of Smiths attempts were 3s and he shot them at 40%. That is exactly what we need. Premium Member Atlantaholic Posted July 23, 2008 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 23, 2008 Childress didn't play any defense either, and it wasn't like he was Pippen out there getting his teammates involved...Anyway, weren't the reports on J.R. that he had gotten his stuff together during the second half of last season? (could be wrong, but I remember reading that) I mean it sincerely when I say I would have traded Childress for J.R. straight up... J.R. is a MUCH better scorer than Chil... I mean, they aren't even comparable in that regard... If/when J.R. decides to start taking it to the hole aggressively on a consistent basis he will easily become one of the best scorers in the game
Eddielives
Hey, at this point, it may be a risk worth taking. I'm just saying that the guy has a bigger history of being unwanted than being wanted. To deny that is just plain nuthuggin'.
