Market already set for Marvin. It is 5 years $40-$45 Million. Marvin is better off signing now. He isn't going to get a better deal next year by accepting the QO.

Good point! When you consider the forecast of a lower cap for next season, one would think Marvin would be motivated to sign a multi year deal now. A reasonable question is will the Hawks make a 'market rate' offer to Marvin?

Gad to see our 2 most important unrestricted FA's are officially coming back !

Now we sit back and wait a month for the market to se the price on Marvin.

At least we will see some decision making be 7/15 on Anderson and Chillz sine they have until that date to opt out of their contract.

Hawks, Pachulia agree to terms

Long-term deal forthcoming for free agent center, sources say

By SEKOU SMITH

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Wednesday, July 08, 2009

Free agent center Zaza Pachulia has agreed to terms with the Hawks on a long-term deal, according to two sources familiar with the situation.

Pachulia, 25, spent the last four years with the Hawks on a $16 million deal. His new deal is believed to be for the same amount of years but with a significant raise, according to one of the sources familiar with the situation.

People really need to stop putting the word "sign" in the title to the thread when the word sign doesn't appear in the article.

So should we start a whole new thread when Bibby signs his deal today seperate from the ones about him from yesterday that said he is coming back? The deal is agreed to he will sign it, Sekou is not espn he does his work on this kind of stuff just not the cap and cba.

Technically you started a whole new thread to post the link to the Sekou article that we've been talking about all morning. Which is why it's merged and the thread title was updated.

Agreeing to terms and actually signing a deal are two different things. Nowhere in that article did it say Zaza signed the deal.

We were originally discussing a twitter post from Sekou. Less than half an hour ago Sekou finally posted an article on this.

They should be merged though, its foolish to throw up a new thread on something already being discussed.

Yes it was a Twitter post but the AJC article was just an extension of it since it came from the same guy. No worries though I just thought that this should be merged since it's really not anything drastically new.

BK was seemingly very hard headed and it came across that way. Sund seems a lot more agreeable and he is getting it done. Nice to see. Hope we are on a roll.

Sund is doing an excellent job of signing BK's talent.
