So, Mike Brown, Lakers Head Coach...

Your thoughts and reactions?

My first thought: Who put the peyote in Buss and Kupchak's coffee machine?

I said a year ago that the only difference between Brown and Woody is that Brown had LeBron and Woody had JJ. I stand by that. I don't think he's a good coach. If I was the Lakers, I would have desperately tried to pry Alvin Gentry away from Phoenix, since I think he'd be a great fit there. Failing that, Adelman.

I think the bigger glaring difference between Woody and Brown is that Brown could actually coach an elite defense and he is terribly underrated in that regard but that offense......Maybe his old O coordinator Kuester will tag along.

Its not quite the same thing, but replacing Jackson in LA is a bit like the first guy who replaced Wooden (who was that??) - little or no chance of living up to expectations. Its not going to be an easy job for sure.
