Yes lets throw away our first AGAIN and say "Hey. Why the hell not? What do we have to lose"

Meanwhile our lack of depth got us murdered by the Cavs.

Well, if you failed to notice... throwing away our firsts have become a practice and they were all in that same area.  We have thrown away 2.. but we were still the best in the East and made it to the ECF last year.

What that suggests is that we don't need no stinking PROJECT Player.  With the inuries we have, we need boots on the ground players.

@RWF

Don't worry, be happy

If they don't come, the end is not going to come.  We have shown the NBA that we can win without superstar.

Except they didn't win anything.

I'm saying? Did people even watch the ECFs

People complained we had no true defender after Thabo went done, but the laud the fact we just traded a guy just as long as Thabo for thj.

It kinda of funny that most people was saying the same thing about Carroll, that he couldn't shoot and all that jazz. In about 6 days, he will be sitting on a 10+ mil contact. I trust Coach Bud on this.

He could always do everything else though. Thj can't do all the other stuff. It's like starting from scratch.

Also Kyle still shot 39% from 3 as a rookie.

Second point. Kyle rose to 42% as a sophmore. THJ went from 41% to 38%. Thats worse. Not better.

As a rookie THJr shot 42 from the field.

Moreover, Kyle shot 28 from 2 point range as a rookie.

The main point is just because he starts off there doesn't mean that's where he will stay.   Didn't you notice that after the 5th of January that THJr became the focus of the defense?  With no Shump or JR Smith on the team and No Anthony playing, this dude had to play beside:  Quincy Acy, CleAnthony Early, Cole Aldridge, and Lance Thomas...  Think about that... if you're an opposing coach, what's your defense going to look like against this Tank team.

And that's all worth #19?

Hawks aren't getting any younger so those throw away picks actually do come back to haunt the hawks in the future.

Maybe Phil can bend Bud over again in another trade. I think a sign and trade with Millsap for a few second round picks is fair.

We got a ton of 2nd rounders.    There are some throw away picks that just sits on the roster and sucks up money... Like Jenkins.

We don't need another one of those.

I can't believe we turned the 15 into a scrubbish player in THJ. An inefficient volume shooter with no defense that joins a backlog of SG/PG. Have to think this is a prelude to trading him or other players. If not, this was a colossal mistake.

Wasn't Teague a 19th pick in the draft? You never know maybe one of these players turns into a gem. The good teams seem to find gems the teams that can't find gems go on to be nothing special.

Grant has far more talent that thj. On both ends. And we traded them straight up. Lord have mercy.

Yep and if Teague or Schoeder aren't playing well Grant can play the pg. The other thing Hawks sorely lack is big shot ability at end of games. Grant was known for that at Notre Dame. Hawks have no crunch time players .Another solid draft by th Atlanta Hawks. diablo.gif
