No he didn't.  Put up empty stats when all the real Grizzlies got hurt.  Now that the real Grizzlies are back, they jettisoned him with the quickness.  Why?

Shot 39% from 3 last year and fulfills our need of a defender, 3 point shooter and scoring wing off the bench. He isn't a world beater but if we can get him for a good price he checks a lot of our boxes of needs.

Lance is pretty distracted by LeBrons ears as well as just not staying focused on the game at hand. Talented but the headaches he causes coaches gets him  jettisoned every one or two years.

He's not a shooter despite what the nimbers you presented seem to suggest.  As it is, he's the poster child for the nimbers not telling the whole story.  As @capstone21 suggested, 'fit' could be an issue.
