Popular Post sillent
PG: Dennis) Scrappy guard with heart and a love for the game. He is an underestimated passer & rebounder. He is a pesky defender and has a never say die attitude that all great teams need to play at a high level. Malcom Delaney/Jarrett Jack) Both have something to prove. One needs to prove he can ball in this league and the other wants to prove he still got it. Wings: Kent Bazemore) Another scrappy player that's known for his hustle and is multidimensional. He is not scared to take big shots or make a hustle play. He rebounds, defends, takes it to the hole and his shot keeps improving. I expect Bazemore to be in allstar contention this season. Kyle Korver) Knows he has something to prove as far as his bread and butter and now has a perfect piece (Dwight) to utilize his strength. He has been a consistent rebounder and defender in our system and is a viable weapon on the court. Thabo/Tim Hardaway jr) Defense/Offense go hand and hand and while Thabo is a spark plug on defense Tim can be the same on offense. They won't reverse roles but each can be average at the very least on the other end of the court as well. Both are also surprisingly athletic. Bembry/Prince) Both have high motors and are athletic & can rebound and defend. Bembry's style of play reminds me of the Iceman George Gervin while Prince looks like DeMarre Carroll 2.0 (More athletic, better shot coming into the league & even seems to have a little more dog in him). PF: Paul Millsap) Always keeps his hard hat on and a bag full of goodies with his lunch pail in hand. Rebounding, Defending or carrying the offense from inside to outside Paul does it all. Paul has been the anchor of this team in the regular season since he's been here. Now that the team fits closer to his mold of toughness I expect that to only strengthen what he brings to the table. Now he got back up!!! Mike Scott)Is getting better on defense every year and has always been a solid rebounder. I believe this year that he will be the 2nd power forward coming off the bench. Increased minutes, increased production. Mike Scott has had key offensive spurts over the years and once his court case is completely behind him I believe he will have a breakout season. He is complimentary to Dwight & Humphries because he can step outside while Dwight's in the middle and play back and forth roles with Humphries. PF/&C:Khris Humphries) Known for his rebounding and athleticism but is also a pretty solid defender and not scared to mix it up with other players (Zaza). He also can spread the floor and shoot the outside shot as well as the 3 ball so at times we can replicate what we did last year with Horford. All in all he fits into the mold of our new and scrappier team. I think he will be the 1st Center coming off the bench and slide down when necessary. Muscala/Tiago Splitter) If I were looking at 2 odd men out I would look at these 2 because we are still 2 deep as far as the roster is concerned. Either or they are still very capable on the offense and defensive end inside and out. One of course being more of a force inside on the court and one a little better stepping to the outside. They both are pretty good to decent rebounders but again in my opinion if 2 have to go these would be my 2 choices. Walter Tavares) He's 7'3. Seriously though he's a giant compared to most nba C's now of days, runs the floor pretty well defends the paint and can dunk and rebound. Most importantly he is very young and still new to the game and so we get to mold him not only in Bud's system but with Dwight showing him how to be a more aggressive and dominating center on the court. He has good shooting mechanics which boils well for his shot and free throws and he is 7'3!!! Not a skinny 7 footer that can be injury prone but a bulky but not too big 7'3 center that will be tutored by Bud's system and a dominating big. Dwight Howard) Has alot to prove. Wants a Championship in his city, wants his Legacy restored and wants to prove he can be a Team player and a Franchise player. He's a monster on the boards, blocking shots and catching alley oops or dunking in general at the very least. If he plays with passion, determination and can knock down some shots and free throws he will exceed expectations and Dominate with a scrappy team on offense and defense. THE MAIN THEME OUR NEW TEAM HAS IN COMMON IS THAT WE ARE SCRAPPIER, TOUGHER AND HAVE MORE HEART THAN RECENT YEARS. WE'RE MORE ATHLETIC EXCEPT FOR POSSIBLY THE POINT GUARD POSITION BUT WE HAVE A MORE RESILIENT CREW WITH SOMETHING TO PROVE AND EVERYONE DEFENDS AND REBOUNDS. OUR BIGGEST LACKS THE LAST COUPLE YEARS WASN'T TALENT. IT WAS OUR HEART AND OUR REBOUNDING. DMC & PAUL GAVE US HEART THE YEAR PRIOR TO LAST AND AS YOU CAN SEE WITHOUT DEMARRE WE WERE A LITTLE DEFLATED NOT TO MENTION OUR POOR REBOUNDING WHICH HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR YEARS. NOT THIS YEAR. WE HAVE 2 OF THE MOST CONSISTENT REBOUNDERS IN THE LEAGUE WITH DWIGHT AND HUMPHRIES AND AGAIN EVERYONE ELSE ON OUR TEAM ARE ALSO SOLID REBOUNDERS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. WE HAVE A WHOLE TEAM THAT EITHER PLAYS WITH OR HAS A CHIP ON THEIR SHOULDER. DENNIS ALREADY GOES HARD BUT NOW HAS TO PROVE HE IS STARTER WORTHY. SEE ABOVE FOR JACK AND DELANEY. KENT WANTS TO BE AND IS NOW GETTING PAID LIKE A KEY PIECE FOR OUR TEAM AND HAS ALL THE TOOLS TO SHINE. OUR ROOKIES WANT TO PROVE THEY NOT ONLY BELONG IN THIS LEAGUE BUT CAN THRIVE. THJ ONE YEAR IN SHOULD BE MORE COMFORTABLE AND WANTS TO PROVE HIS WORTH TO THE TEAM, HIMSELF AND HIS FAMILY'S NAME. THABO AND KORVER ONE YEAR BACK FROM INJURY'S/SURGERY KNOWS THEY CAN PLAY BETTER AND WANT TO STAY INTEGRAL PARTS OF THIS TEAM WITH ROOKIES AND YOUNGER PLAYERS BREATHING DOWN THEIR NECKS TO TAKE THEIR POSITIONS. PAUL MILLSAP ALWAYS PLAYS WITH A CHIP AND NOW HAS EVEN MORE INCENTIVE BEING INVOLVED WITH TRADE TALKS. DWIGHT HOWARD KNOWS THIS IS PROBABLY HIS LAST OPPORTUNITY TO PROVE HE CAN GET RIGHT AND RETURN TO HIS FORMER SELF BECAUSE IF HE CAN'T DO IT WITH A TEAM LIKE THIS AND AT HOME, THAN WHERE? HE KNOWS THIS AND IS WORKING HARD TO PROVE HIMSELF AND IMPROVE AND REPAIR HIS IMAGE AND STATUS. I BELIEVE ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE LOOKING AT THE PLAYER MOVES ALONE BUT NOT QUITE LOOKING AT WHAT TYPE OF TEAM HAS BEEN BUILT FROM THE MOVES WE'VE MADE. THEY WILL DEFINITELY HAVE TO FEEL THE RAFF COME SEASON START BECAUSE THE WAY THE TEAM IS NOW CONSTRUCTED WE HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO COME OUT SCRAPPY EVERY NIGHT. THE HAWKS WILL BE CONSIDERED A HARD NOSE TEAM LIKE A (BOSTON/GRIZZLIES) LAST YEAR WITH ARGUABLY(OR NOT SO MUCH) MORE TALENT. WE ARE GOING TO SHOW OUR BEAKS WITH A HARD NOSE MENTALITY AND OUR WINGS WITH OUR ATHLETICISM THIS YEAR AND BE A MORE FUN, EXCITING AND COMPETITIVE TEAM IF ANYTHING NEXT SEASON!!! THE HAWKS ARE NOW LOOKING TRUE TO THEIR NAME AND READY TO TAKE FLIGHT A LITTLE MORE THAN ALOT WOULD EXPECT COME NEXT SEASON. I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF THE 3 TEAMS COMPETING FOR THE TOP OF THE EAST WERE THE CAVS, THE PACERS AND OUR BELOVED HAWKS. IT MAY BE MY BIAS OPINION BUT I CAN SEE US ACTUALLY HAVING 1ST PLACE IN THE STANDINGS WHILE CLEVELAND GETS BY COASTING AND INDIANA NOT QUITE BEATING US OUT OF THAT 1ST POSITION. I DON'T SEE THE RAPTORS HOLDING ON TO THEIR TOP 3 STATUS NOR DO I SEE BOSTON OR DETROIT JUMPING UP THAT HIGH. I DO SEE THE KNICKS SURPRISING IF THEY CAN STAY HEALTHY BUT RIGHT NOW THERE GOAL IS TO JUST GET IN THE PLAYOFFS.
JTB
I must say we do have a scrapper team this upcoming season which is why I believe we will be a top 5 defense easily though many won't feel that way about the Hawks and we will continue to catch hate for signing Dwight you must look at the roster as a whole. We have to acknowledge that this is going to be the deepest defensive roster Dwight has ever played on! And the most scrappy ass defenders he's ever had around him....from pg to C....Dennis, Baze, Thabo, Sap, Jack, Splitter and even the rookie Prince are all scrappy, blue collar, defensive minded, "I ain't gon take no shit", "I will not back down" type of players. Korver can get pretty scrappy too though he's not a outstanding defender his heart is always there. I wouldn't be shocked if we were number 1 in defense this season and finished off around 8-10 on offense as a team. im not worried about the defense as you can tell and I'm not too worried about the offense but they are going to have to shoot well in order to be a COMPLETE THREAT which I believe they can do.
Moderators macdaddy Posted August 29, 2016 Moderators Report Share Posted August 29, 2016 In the past I've just questioned whether we had a team of NBA quality players. That's not a question this year. We have zero washed up vets. and we have : Dennis/Jack Korver/Baze/Thabo Sap/Scott/Hump/Dwight/ Splitter. That's 10 proven, solid NBA players with a lot of promise in Hardaway/Delaney/Prince/Edy/Bembry/Moose.

Won't even know all of them after a few games but by the the break with our coaching quality believe we will be driving towards playoff positioning and not the struggle for just the last seed as some naysayers are spouting. Guest
Ok, we will beat Cleveland in the playoffs this year, here's why....... Tristan Thompson is dating Khloe Kardashian. The curse is alive and well: 1. Kris Humphries (recovered) 2. Lamar Odom 3. Chandler Parsons 4. James Harden We all saw how their play suffered. Cavs also lost Delly, their assistant coaches are still without contracts, JR still unsigned. Let's go Hawks!!! Now is the time.

May have to trade someone to do it but man I'd do it simply to spite Lebron and the Cavs. I know he's crazy but the dude can shoot.

Moderators AHF Posted September 6, 2016 Moderators Report Share Posted September 6, 2016 Other than a desire to be in the tabloid press, why would anyone want to date her? These guys are multi-millionaires who can't have too much trouble connecting with beautiful women. Hard to imagine many with lower floors for a relationship.
