I guess your beloved Denver tanked too by signing an over the hill vet guarantee they wouldn't make the playoffs!  LOL!

Millsap's return is a big reason that team pushed the vaunted Minnesota Timberwolves and their 2 #1 overall draft picks and their 13 consecutive years in the lottery to the brink of going into the lottery for a 14th consecutive season.  If Paul had not had a fluke injury, Denver would be in.

2018 lottery pick

Yep.  That is all they have along with Robert Covington who they developed and kept during the tank.  And they have the cap space to add a max free agent this year.  Cry them a river.

What a great return for sucking for so long.  Two legitimately good players, an overhyped one and done guy that can't shoot, and a power forward that can't defend.  Wow!  One can only hope the Hawks rebuild takes as long as the 76ers to have a team that is poorly put together.

So the goal isnt about making the playoffs with a chance for a title? Youre all over the place. JUST STOP IT....lmao.

Yeah but if you make the playoffs the superstars will flock to Atlanta. Why seek to build for a title when you can make the playoffs every year and shake hands with the eventual people who will be paying for a championship?

How can you honestly say this when, Jimmy Butler, who by all metrics has more of an impact than Paul Milsap, missed so much time for Minnesota?

Kwhai Leonard missed all season for San Antonio.

Like all the top teams in the west had injuries and over came them to make the playoffs. You can't play whatifs because all the other teams had injuries too.

They've had 5 consecutive losing seasons and spent 5 years in the top 5 of the lottery.

So when Philadelphia has 5 consecutive years in the lottery, its a bad thing but when Denver has 5 consecutive years in the lottery, they become your favorite team?  You gotta explain some of this goofy thinking at some point.

For one, Denver never intentionally lost.

I'm not the one that is all over the place.  You criticize the Hawks for making the playoffs without a chance to actually win the title, yet you praise the 76ers and their tanking strategy when they finally make playoffs without a chance to win the title.  This is a 76ers team who was 19-2 against Atlanta, Orlando, Brooklyn, Chicago, New York, and Charlotte, so they beat up on bad teams in the east.  They are 3-9 vs the elite teams in the NBA.  I would think that after spending 5 years in the lottery with all those guaranteed stars, they would be better than that.

Houston was 34-32 in 2011-2012 and missed the playoffs.  They did not tank, went to the playoffs in 2012-2013, and built a championship caliber team a lot quicker than the 76ers, who are not yet a championship caliber team.

Houston most likely won't win a championship either but here is the difference...Houston's best players are 28 and 34.  Philly's best players are 21 and 24. They can wait out that Golden state dynasty.  Houston might be lunch meat much like Seattle and Utah were for Jordan's Bulls

Still think they are losing in the first round?
