Attention vintage hawk fans! I need to know if this is true......

So I’m listening to nba radio (Frank and Brian Scalabrine show) this morning and I forget what topic they were on but there was a part where Brian said.....

“it’s just like when the hawks bench was cheering for Larry Bird one game when he dropped 50 or 60 and they were rooting him on.....then afterwards the hawks bench was fined 50k each later on!”

 

now ive had to go back and watch some old hawk games over many years just to familiarize myself with the hawks history but I’ve never heard this one! Rooting for Larry Bird? Our bench? Was Nique on the team? WTF?????

Nique was on the Lakers/Celtics 30 for 30, I believe and they brought up his career high, and mentioned something about fining them.
