They recorded the most wild, raucous crowd ever, and they decided to turn it way up, to the setting of an empty pre season game. It's like an incompetent music producer that decided to make the drums or the guitar way louder than all the other tracks.

I wonder if they could somehow sync up the sounds with something like the ambient crowd noises from 2k so that the program tracked the movements of players on the floor, recognized baskets, rebounds, etc. and just had the program insert the appropriate crowd reaction.  No need to worry about commentary, squeaking shoes or anything as that would be picked up from the game audio and the normal commentators and it is just the crowd noise coming into the feed on top of that.  Seems like should be doable.
