To me, much of our expected success this upcoming season will depend on how Nate uses JJ and our two draft picks from this summer.  JJ's coach from last year's G League team had much praise for him.  We know from watching summer league and school clips that our 2nd round pick is pretty good and is not afraid to get right in the middle of everything and do his thing.  Add to this the top scorer from college and we have three players we need to play and develop for the playoffs.  Will we?

I would say yes to both of those statements.
I would also say, however, that the vast majority of any minutes he gets should be at the four.

The only thing that keeps me off the Jalen is a SF bandwagon is his general lack of perimeter defense. 

He is a 3 the same way Lebron and Tatum are 3’s. He has the offensive skillset to do it, but needs to switch on defense instead of chasing his man around screens.

Need to see how he defends the perimeter and how his shooting looks. He's probably gonna play the 4 most likely.

We have G league tape, 4 summer league games, and about 52 minutes from NBA games.  I have no idea if he’s a 3 or 4.  I just want to see him play.
