Trae again comes off as honest and professional with a desire to win but makes sure not to throw Nate under the bus and makes things more clear then ever that he does not want input into coaching decisions and just wants to play.

Wonder how the media will spin it to try and deride him?

They usually do it by ignoring facts and just making their own narrative.

Talking Head:  "Trae is so selfish.  His teammates resent him being so inefficient as a scorer that he can't playmake enough to make that up.  He needs to learn a lesson from a great team guy like Ja Morant."

Fact Driven Response:  "But Ja averages almost 2 fewer assists per game than Trae."

Talking Head:  "It isn't just about who sets up their teammates the most.  It is more about that teammates resent when you chuck up shots without delivering the points per shot to justify that volume."

Fact Driven Response:  "But Trae averages 25.5 points on 18.8 FGA/gm for his career compared to 22.4 points on 17.3 FGA/gm for Ja.  Trae has been significantly more productive with 1.36 point per FGA compared to only 1.29 for Ja and this year Ja is shooting 20.7 FGA/gm compared to 19.7 for Trae."

Talking Head:  "Dunk = team player.  Mic drop."

Fact Driven Response:  "You don't say the words 'mic drop.'  You literally are supposed to drop the mic."

Talking Head:  "Mic drop!"  (Still holding the microphone)

No matter what he says or don't say, it will never be enough. So time to move on and play ball.
