Lillard is a great offensive player but not an initiator..   He's a good highight, boxscore guy.  Nobody has ever questioned his defense but the lack thereof has been there.   He was given a pass because he was in PTL.   I think they will be better as they play more together but I don't think it's that big of a jump going from Jrue to Lillard.   You lose so much on defense.

Last year we had a similar record because of an easy early schedule.  This team is already more fun to watch. 

We play differently though.   The fast breaks are just it.   If we would have been a fast breaking team in previous years, we prolly would have gone farther.   The  ball control, walk up.. is terrible.   There is no justification for having to score every time over a set defense.   We rarely used pace to our advantage.   And while we were efficient on offense, we were not dominant.  Now, we have an offense that can be dominant.

Last game, we grabbed 19 offensive rebounds, but Capela only grabbed 2 of them.  So how did we get 19 offensive rebounds?

We're crashing the board with the opposite side wing, whenever we shoot a 3 pointer.  We grabbed 8 offensive rebounds off of missed 3 pointers.

Teams have routinely done this against us for years especially come playoff time.

Quinn specifically shouted out Bey for his commitment to keeping rebounds alive for he and his teammates.

The difference with Milwaukee this year, Dame is a gunner, albeit a top.level one.  On other phases of the game he adds nothing.  Jru is a defense player and a PG that can run a offense.

Dame can definitely run an offense and has for Milwaukee. The issues right now is literally not even Dame. It's Giannis and the role players who aren't elite like Brook and Khris. Malik and the rest have been terrible outside of Beauchamp
