That being said, it might be useful to give a post like that a little bit of context so people don't assume things.

Another interesting anecdote: On the day of the election the white receptionists outside my office were talking about how they were worried that black people would treat them differently now that Obama was in office.

I don't think there is any real message to take from any of this, other than the average American will say something rash, racist, or stupid at some point in their life.
