They say time brings change and change comes with time. I guess it was a matter of time before it happened to me. You all read the news. Me and speedo have been traded to Golden State for Jamal Crawford. Man, honestly I don't know how to feel. One moment I'm happy and the next I'm sad. I'm happy because it feels good to be wanted and I feel like I will get a chance to play. Lets be honest Coach Woodson never respected my game. I feel like a rookie again. Fresh new start excited for what's about to come. You can say I got a chip on my shoulder cause I do. Mark the day I return to Atlanta on your calender. I know I'm waiting for the new schedule to come out. I'm sad cause although I didn't get to play, I had some of the best teammates you can ask for. Everyone was cool like family. Speedo said the first time is the hardest. My man Greasy (Mario West) was like my closest teammate. I wish he could come with me. Man, this year has been crazy and the season aint even started yet. I want to know what you guys think. Let me know if you feel Golden States a better situation for me, or Atlanta was better. Like they say pray for the best and prepare for the worst. Til next time good people. I CANT WAIT TO GET WITH MY NEW TEAMMATES/ FAMILY OUT IN GOLDEN STATE!!

TheDude
I give respect to my man Acie Law. I know many of us wanted him to be more aggressive on the court and play with a little more confidence however I do feel that Woody had a big part in not allowing him to develop. Woody was trying to make the playoffs last year and this year he was trying for the home court. And by doing so didn't allow much development time for Acie. And Acie did have a couple badly-timed injuries. I still think Acie can be a GREAT player in this league, not just a decent player. With playing time in that type of of offense, he can emerge. I'm not sure how Teague would get playing time if it weren't for the fact that Sund is the one who drafted him. Good luck Acie and I will root for you....................just not against us. Premium Member hawkman Posted June 28, 2009 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 28, 2009 I wish Acie the best, but the time for talk is over. This is a chance for him to produce. If he's as good as some here(HINT HINT) thinks he is, he should have no problem getting PT from a reputable coach like Nelson who likes to run and gun. With that said, he'll probably be on the IL or in the NBDL by the time GS plays us, so I wouldn't sweat it.

Kimsey
"Mark the day I return to Atlanta on your calender. I know I'mwaiting for the new schedule to come out." mattlanta
“But this kid is what I’d call a true point guard." I think that's the dumbest thing Woody ever said! Pull Acie's A&M numbers and tell me who is the better PG. I've always thought Woody was a jackass but now I know. http://www.hawksquawk.net/community/index....mp;#entry391829

" This sounds like an immature kid post" lmao LMAO right back atcha if you don't see the desperation in his "blog." Dude needs to get off the computer seeking some positive feedback from arsekissers and work hard on his game. These blogs and such by players are a bit ridiculous if you ask me. It only opens them up for problems when they say the wrong thing. I can see a little now why Woody was so hard on the kid. Worry about yourself, not how your fans perceive you or your new situation. Gray Mule
Ha! A kid @ 60! I have fond memories of when I was that young. Remember the old adage, "The pot calling the kettle black." There is enough blame to go around here. Acie didn't mature enough here. We all believe that. Part of the reason was Acie's own fault. He's still acting somewhat like a child. Read his blog. Part of it, the not growing up into a mature PG can be pointed out as Woodson's fault. Both share in this. Both are full of blame. Good luck Acie! AtLaS
I'm going to be rooting for Acie all the way. Woody didn't give him a shot at all other than spot minutes once in every five games.
Premium Member mrhonline Posted June 28, 2009 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 28, 2009 Acie is right. Woodson never respected "his game." By the way, "respect my game" is the stupidest phrase for a professional basketball player to use. It's a team game.
