dhawk
He has gotten into Horfords head. Al has become ineffective picking up ticky-tac fouls, moving screens, missing point-blank shots. Bucks dominated the paint. There is no more one-on-one in the paint, Horf & Josh are getting doubled, Bibby, Joe and Craw are ready to shoot jumpers, we need
Supporter
Horf has been flat out doo doo in these two road games.
MaceCase
Ever wonder how the second oldest player in the league can continue to get consistent minutes on a playoff team? Because post defense is his bag and it's a mighty big bag.

ATLJA316
Horford is an ugly overrated turd of a player Just like everyone else on this "team". What does 'ugly' have to do with it? Horford is one of the best players on this team - I've got no idea what you're talking about. He's def. having a tough time this series, but it's obvious that Woodson isn't preaching the idea that we CAN beat them inside - I'm not sure I can remember any set plays for Horford this whole game 4 - It's a shame he has to run around trying to create his own offense by cleaning up everyone else's garbage. As a matter of fact, Horford's nickname should be 'the garbage man' - because all he does is clean up everyone else's crap.
Colin
Well, at least Horford is still scoring more than a notable center in the playoffs, though the defense in not even comparable. Horford this series- 13.3 PPG 7 RPG 56% FG 83% FT 2.3 BPG 1.2 TOPG Dwight Howard's series- 9.7 PPG 9.3 RPG 48% FG 36% FT 5 BPG 3.2 TOPG :snowballfight:

ATLJA316
Just annoyed. Me too. All my frustrations are aimed @ Woody though. Someone really needs to put together a youtube video of all his dumb looks from each game.

That's true Jsmoovefan, plus they are closing the lane down, Horford turns right and another defender is there, he turns left another appears, maybe he should pass the ball out quickly and then repost. He's trying to score on 3 dudes sometimes. Obviously they would rather have us shoot jumpers instead of dominating in the paint, boy we could use a penetrating point guard who could set Horford & Josh up for easy shots & dunks. WE have one on the bench, but he will never get a chance to do anything as long as Woody is the coach.
JackB1
Thomas is a savy vet that has been in playoff wars and this is just Al's 3rd year. Give the kid a freaking break. He gives up probably at least 30-40 lbs to Thomas and when the ref's let Thomas get cheap fouls and throw forearms and elbows, Horford has a rough time of it. Atl least he is trying to play through it and not complaining every 10 seconds like Smoove. All will learn from this experience and it will pay off down the road. There is no substitute for playoff experience.

Why on the world do we have Randolph Morris and Jason Collins on the roster if not to come in and knock Kurt Thomas on his flopping, Duke-like, actress *ss? dhawk
We got to get back to running and pushing the pace, no way Kurt Thomas can keep up with Al running down the floor. This should be easier to do at home, but we are letting them dictate and control the game and taking away almost everything we want to do offensively inside, but alas, offense isn't the problem despite the few points in the paint. Is Woody too stubborn to abandon the switching defense even though we are getting torched? What team with a good coach can't figure out how to exploit our one-dimensional defensive plan in a 7-game series? It took Skiles to game 3, if we survivor this series, it would take Orlando 1 quarter in game 1 to shred our defense.

If he gives up that much weight to Thomas then why is he repeatedly trying to back Thomas down? That doesn't make any sense. Horfords back to the basket game has sucked all year. When he has success it is because he is playing a face up game in the half court and/or getting transition points.

Horf needs to make a move as soon as he gets the ball. The same applies to Smoove. Catch the ball and make a decisive move to the basket. Make Thomas or whoever is playing post defense foul you. It's time to take the ballet shoes off guys.
