GameTime
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ys-stoudemireknicks070210 Amar'e Stoudemire is making progress on a five-year, max contract with the Knicks, according to sources. The two sides have the framework of a deal in place. Stoudemire played for New York head coach Mike D'Antoni through the 07-08 season. If the Knicks sign a maximum-salary contract with Stoudemire, the team would still possess a second max slot to offer another free agent. Moderators macdaddy Posted July 2, 2010 Moderators Report Share Posted July 2, 2010 Wade and Amare in NY together with D'antoni? That might be pretty good. Miami would completely suck.

Doubt it since Wade loves Miami and Bosh is going there too. Probably Tony Parker to NY.
Plainview1981
Considering everything that they went through even a Joe/Amare combo would be a big fail. That combo plus Nash couldn't even get Phx to the finals before. A team with Amare as the best player is unlikely to get to the finals.

Premium Member mrhonline Posted July 2, 2010 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 2, 2010 The Suns have to renounce Amare to sign Warrick, so it appears that a 5-year deal might be the best Stoudemire can do. I expect him to sign shortly. He'll get that rap career started in New York. eh?

If you can't get there with Nash; you can't get there with JJ. Knicks fans need at a minimum LeBron or Wade to go with Amare. Here is a kicker, lets say they lose out on all except Amare, they sign Lee who they have bird rights to; they may end up in the lottery again. Alex
I see the Knicks off season being an epic failure again. Amare will earn a nice pay check for a couple seasons and then I think New York gets rid of him.
coachx
Knicks fans were about to burn down Madison Square Garden before marching with their pitchforks to Dolan's mansion. Dolan may be spared after all and The Garden lives to see another day.

Lee he would compliment him well in the running system since Lee would do the dirty work.......wait a second both player are allergic to defense......and so is there coach.
