A thought on Bibby

Say that the trade deadline comes and goes tomorrow without the Wizards shipping Bibby to a contender. Does Bibby approach the Wizards' front office and ask for a buyout, a la Ilgauskas last year? If so, do we want him back? I can't speak for Bibby, who would be giving up a lot of money (not to mention his Bird rights) if he agrees to a buyout. But if I'm the Hawks, I'm hoping he does. The good thing about clearing a roster spot is that we now have that flexibility.

I think the Wizards are planning to have Bibby come off the bench and mentor John Wall. Sad but true... i'd love to see Bibby back as a Hawk, though.

I like Bibby and all, and have huge respect for the player he used to be with Sacramento. With that said, I never want to see a defender that atrocious in a Hawks uniform again as long as I live. This move was made a year too late. Better than never, I guess.

I like the idea of Bibby coming off the bench, but I'd rather see Teague getting more minutes at this point. I wish Bibby well, but we gotta free Teague! He was doing OK last night until Drewed for his second foul.

I"m really going to miss Bibby, he did what he could and was a great leader here. The players all had a lot of respect for him so gotta be tough for them to, but changed had to be made. WE will see how this goes

Bibby is due 6 million next season. A buy out would be HUGE INDEED.
