Why bring back a GM that the ownership can just push around into making bad picks?

If this is true, we need a GM that will have the backing of ownership to do their job - not bringing back someone the ownership didn't trust over Mike Woodson.

Why does Sund get the built in ASG-Pass but not BK? How do we know ASG wasn't pulling the strings during the BK era as well? Instead of always knocking BK think about giving him the benefit of the doubt we all have given Sund for his numerous idiotic decisions.

Of course there would have to be enough assurances that he is allowed to do his job without interference. The assurance is high salary so he is indispensable. It was either Acie Law , Javaris or Stuckey. Acie had the 4/year senior-big shot label. I believe he has had time to exam the failings as well as the successes (ala Thunders,Bulls...).

This though may be for not with this ownership. That is the big problem

If we take your claim about BK not wanting Marvin or Shelden then:

BK wasn't allowed to draft the players he wanted (Marvin/Shelden)

BK wasn't allowed to fire/hire the coach he wanted (tried to fire Woody 3 times)

BK wasn't allowed to trade for the players he wanted (Jose Calderon)

I don't think there is any assurance that can be given at this point that would cover this.

that's the point I' m trying to make. At some point this fan base has to come to the realization that LD is as bad or worse than Woody and the same goes for BK and Sund.

BK was better than Rick Sund, but if we're gonna hire a new GM, it should be somebody a lot better than either of them. Yes, BK was better than Rick Sund, but that isn't saying much.
