jcm446
“@SpearsNBAYahoo: Wolves free agent forward Anthony Randolph meeting with Atlanta Hawks this weekend, source tells Y! Dallas native meeting with Mavs Tuesday.” I bet he'll go to mavs cuz hes from there but still hes worth a shot. Young with potential
Admin
Would be nice to sign him to a cheap 1 year contract and see if he can turn his career around.
KB21
Would be nice to sign him to a cheap 1 year contract and see if he can turn his career around. That would be the only reason I'd sign him. Right now, Anthony Randolph is one of the poster children for what I was talking about last week -- people valuing potential over production. That is, of course, entirely dependent upon which metric a person bases their particular bias on.
Premium Member Sothron Posted July 6, 2012 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 6, 2012 If we could get him cheap I think it could be a good signing. Ant Rand has put up some gaudy stat lines when given the chance. He just has no consistency but to be fair he's never gotten consistent minutes or a role on a team. ATL_BALLER
I think he's the perfect kind of risk/reward player we need (and at only 23), though I assume his hometown Mavs have the advantage.
MaceCase
Win Shares PER48 Sucka! Exactly. If you want that to be your "be all, end all" basis for evaluating a player then go for it but Randolph performs remarkably well by PER and per36s. Admin capstone21 Posted July 6, 2012 Admin Report Share Posted July 6, 2012 He always shows that he can play but it is when it doesn't matter. I don't know if he will ever be a true contributor in the league but if he can come cheap then I would take a chance on him
Moderators lethalweapon3 Posted July 6, 2012 Moderators Report Share Posted July 6, 2012 Yes, please! Besides, with the Anthonys together we could kill at Summer League ball. ;) http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=kH7JmHfTNfw ~lw3
Blake1bp10
I like Randolph. We he plays extended minutes he usually puts up some good numbers. But the price has to be right

Admin
Also regarding the AAU team, I believe that Josh Smith funds and possibly even coaches them now. I remember seeing a video where he talked about funding or buying the team someday when he had enough money and he was finally able to a couple of years ago. High5
I drafted this dude two years in a row in fantasy basketball. I made a vow never to be excited about his potential again.
