Popular Post Duff_Man
The Cavs defeat the Cavs in 7 games. They then re-name "The Finals" as "The Cavaliers" because every single TV on Earth watched it, creating an impossible to beat ratings extravaganza. They then move the Super Bowl to Spike TV in order to just run Cavaliers infomercials in its place. Advertising time during the infomercials run $5 billion per second because, Cavs. When the Cavs eventually play themselves and win every NBA Cavaliers for a decade, the amount of money needed to advertise becomes so huge it can only be paid for in precious metals that have been mined from Saturn, thus creating a gateway for our new alien overlords to come to Earth to advertise during The Cavaliers. Our new benevolent alien leaders then solve hunger, world peace and global warming and advance the human race so far that we all eventually become Cavaliers. The planet Earth becomes a Utopia thanks to the NBA Cavaliers. That is my NBA Finals prediction.

Popular Post Dejay
Hawks in six over Golden State with four of the games ending in overtime. It is followed by a nasty skirmish as Gearon and Levenson fight over the trophy during the presentation, only for the arena to go dark...'wait, that's Ted Turner's music!!!!'... Kasim Reed, Fulton County commissioners, and Gov. Nathan Deal duke it out over who will pay for the parade cleanup. Dale Russell finds out via open records that the court costs to determine who pays exceeds the actual cleanup itself. Dolfan creates a mandate that all new members (approaching 197,000) pay an entry fee in order for him to keep up with the bandwidth used on the site. He is forced to hire nine employees full-time, including a senior accountant who goes by the name Dejay. Former NBA commissioner David Stern suggests a new playoff format in the Eastern Conference with the Cavaliers receiving an automatic bye into the ECFs with the rights to mulligan up to four games in that round. Measure falls just shy of passing (Hawks, Bulls, Raptors, Wizards, Rockets, Warriors, Blazers, Grizzlies, and Mavericks vote against). Veterans on a certain, unnamed Hawks' fan site get together for a private banquet to celebrate. They spend hours basking on the bad ole days of Babs, BK, and WLOC-Sund. Some local baseball player named Melvin asks for an invite but strikes out on his opportunity to get a reservation. A toast is given to vets like Gray Mule for staying loyal when grabbing a Kobe jersey would've been so much easier. The night nearly goes sideways when some guy named 'Walter' starts trouble with this other guy named 'Diesel'. Moderators macdaddy Posted February 26, 2015 Moderators Report Share Posted February 26, 2015 My heart cosigns. My head says Cavs over Blazers in 6. I haven't been impressed with the Blazers the few times i've seen them. Looks like they've lost to Memphis 3 times already, Atlanta twice, and GS once with no victories over any of those teams. The west is tough though. I'd still think GS or Memphis for the finals. I'm not a believer in the Cavs though unless the fix is on.

Memphis will go as far as Calathes, Green, and Lee can step up. They gotta make more than 5 threes a game I know that. Plainview1981
The Cavs are going to the finals. I hate it, but they're going. They just went through GS rather easily and they have the momentum and the best player in the league. It sucks that ESPN and the dickriders are going to get what they want. Spursfanpeacemaker
I believe that Atlanta Hawks have a high chance beating Cavs in the playoffs because Hawks play really good team defense unlike Golden State Warriors they mostly rely on their high scoring offense. They couldn't stop Lebron, ,Kyrie and Love. Hawks play team defense, and knows defense is really important if they want to beat teams like Cavs. Im sure coach Bud always preaches team defense to his team. NJHAWK
I fear Lebron more than any 2 players on any east roster put together. Thats our biggest obstacle. Beating him, the refs and the whole espn song and dance. I dont think a trip to the east finals is anything to be ashamed of though, for a franchise who have never been in my life time. Of corse I want the finals but its going to be really tough. I hate the Lebron show but I fear them A number 1.

Dejay
I'm not scared. If our boys get there, they will end up being the Cavs' worst nightmare. With them finally getting their ish together, everyone is riding them like a porn star. By the ECFs, they will be riding so high that they'll assume that round is a four-game coronation session against such a no-talent, no-name squad like ours. Just like the '98 Vikings, '01 Rams, and the '04 Lakers painfully found out when everyone was singing their praises and assumed victory by just showing up. Get our boys to the ECFs relatively healthy. ESPN and the rest of the world are going to be in for the shock of their lives...
Guest
Ok, so the knock against the Hawgs is that they lack deep playoff experience. They are a regular season phenom and that doesn't translate to the playoffs. Every team goes through adversity/injuries and the Hawgs haven't gone through those yet. It's just because they've been healthy. However, the post-trade Cavs are given the pass? List for me, if you will, the vast postseason accomplishments and playoff runs of Kevin emo-Love, Kyme Irving, Iman Shumpert, JR Smith, Tristan Thompson, Bill Russell aka Mozgov (actually Bill Russell wishes he was as good as Mosgov, let the eggsperts tell it) and the rest of the Cavs. I'll wait. Of course LeeBron has that and is the best player in the game. So tell me, is LeighBron going to make shots for those guys? Is he going to make these guys make proper decisions under pressure? Didn't LeiBron have that last year? Wasn't LeaBron the best in the game his first go-round in CLE? So the Hawks streak means nothing because it's the regular season but the Cavs' current streak is the end all be all? Tell me, what adversity/injuries have the post-trade Cavs team experienced? None. Are they not due to come back to earth or are we saying JR Smith isn't going to revert to what he's been his whole career. This stretch of games is the real JR Smith I guess? What do you think Jennifer Lawrence? CLE will come down to earth. What they're doing right now is great but let's not pretend like most of these guys aren't playing above what they've been their whole careers. Their play will level off and, if they experience any adversity, the emo-Love and selfish play stuff will rear it's ugly head. My new favorite NBARadio guy, Stackhouse, said you can't talk about the Cavs as a Finals contender without doing the same for the Hawgs. The Hawks streak was/is just as impressive as what the Cavs are doing so why not speak about them in the same or similar veins. He also explained that now is NOT the time to be peaking Cavs fans. The Cavs might make it to the Finals but no need to just bow down.
Moderators macdaddy Posted February 27, 2015 Moderators Report Share Posted February 27, 2015 I think we are better able to defend Lebron and keep him from going off than GS is. Especially when Thabo is back. My biggest concern is if we key on stopping Lebron will Love have a field day. They certainly have weapons.
Dejay
I agree with J-Law.... Sure, Kyrie, Tristan Thompson, and Kevin Love have never seen a playoff game live without needing a ticket to get in but they'll be way more prepared than a team full of guys who have. Right.... And even if they freeze up, Lebron will average 70/25/23 in the ECFs to carry them home...right.... The experts had better pray for Derrick Rose to come back so the Bulls or Whizzed can pull a second-round upset. I have a feeling that the national TV folks will not like what they're witnessing. Hawks up 3-1 in the series...leading Game 5 106-93 with less than a minute to play with Philips Arena going nuts...Lebron frantically throwing up 27-foot prayers that brick off the iron as David Stern, Charles Barkley, and Steven A. Smith watch from the sidelines in abject horror...J.R. Smith sitting on the bench with his head down, with a towel covering his face... I can't wait...

Those same dudes that had to get past the usher to get into the only playoff games they've seen, those guys will not only be prepared they'll step up their games. See we know this because the eggsperts say so. The same eggs that said Harden would thrive in the Finals that year. You forgot to add how David Stern will be in the stands laughing at Adam Silver ("This'd never happen on my watch."), Barkley would've missed the game having booked his flight/hotel stay in CHI since that's where the ECF will be? ("My travel agent is turrible."). Meanwhile Stephen A., seeing which way the wind is blowing, will be reporting LeighBron opts-out to ATL rumors from his 'sources'. JR won't be on the bench. He'll be in taking turns jaking 4's with LieBrun. How you feel about that JLaw? Any words for the Cavs tho? {you're welcome @dejay}
Dejay
Of course they'll step up. Kyrie, Love, and Tristan will feel the electricity from Lebron and turn into Magic, Duncan, and Moses in one swoop. That's all I've heard over the last few weeks. Yet the team with more playoff experience than them (Lebron and Perkins notwithstanding) will fold like a cheap card table. Uh, yeah...
