MVP for series vs Nets

The key to this squad all year has been the cohesiveness of the team to be able to run so many matchups and lineups out thanks to the bench, so it has to be a bench guy. I'm on the Dennis train.

He plays within the system, but is by far the most selfish player on the squad in terms of getting his little shine and air time to show some personality. When things are going good for him (drawing fouls, not committing fouls, and hitting the three) Bud will encourage him to eat all he can.

Whose ur MVP?

I'm gonna go with Al Horford. I think he's gonna rip D. (Umb) Lopez a brand (no pun intended) new one.

Easily Horf.

Horf will expose the big man as a weak defender and rebounder.

Ya that's the thing, Horford had out quick Lopez in the paint and face up jumper him to death from about 15-20 feet out. The Nets could be in big trouble with that matchup.

Ain't this grand!

This many posters and this many different Hawks!  This just proves to me

that this is not a one pony show.  At least eight Hawks have been mentioned

as being a candidate for MVP.  We all know that it could very well be a different

player each night who dons the super hero cape.

Sometimes it's hard to believe.  Am I sure I'm not just dreaming?  Nope.  It's real.

This has been going on too long for it to be a dream.  But we know that there are

some "talking heads" who will not believe.  Hawks must show them!!

GO TEAM ATL !!

I thought I responded to this thread earlier -- before the series my guess was Millsap. But, now my vote goes to Demarre even though Millsap improved with each game.

Demarre was awesome on both ends of the floor. Demarre does get some open shots at perimeter due to attention Korver gets, but he was able to make those shots and do much more. He was effective and efficient on scoring, defending and rebounding. Hollins too thought Demarre was MVP of the series.

Hmmmmm .... let's see

17.5 ppg .... 1st on team

7.2 rebs

2 8 asst

54% FG ....... 1st on team

47% 3FG ..... 1st on team

83% FG

21.0 PER ..... 1st on team

67% Total Shot % ... 1st on team

.238 win score/48 ... 1st on team

+10.3 plus/minus for the series

Averaged 21.5 ppg in the final 4 games of the series.

And most important ... kept Joe Johnson in check most of the series.

Without DeMarre Carroll elevating his game to a level none of us thought he could, we were DEAD in that Nets series.

Easily the MVP of the series.
