Admin capstone21 Posted July 10, 2015 Admin Report Share Posted July 10, 2015 The key to summer league is to not overreact to summer league ... It really means nothing but seeing our guys play ... it is not a determination of how they will perform in the NBA. This is glorified playground ball where the guys are sponsored by the Hawks.

Summer league matters. We seen it with Dennis. We seen it with Muscala. We also seen guys under-perform and have good seasons like Shelvin Mack. Thanks @lethalweapon3 on the request.

It's likely they asked someone to step off the team. I remember we lost a player after one game. He left and joined another team. I think it was one of the Wear's. Whether they played in SL or not would not have impacted how their seasons went. Its just a time to kill with some Bball between when the season ends and the season begins. Its just a way to see the new draft picks play. It doesn't matter at all.
Guest
Im banking on Greg Smith coming in angry and dominating. I think he's gonna get a double double tonight vs the butt nuggets.
Guest
I like to compare our players to their previous summer leagues. So I'm excited to see Patterson, Moose and Edy. Moose in his first summer league was such a weakling, he was being pushed around, always on the floor. 2nd summer league you could see difference. He was much better last year, SL, pre-season, season. Same for Dennis. I want Lamar around in some way. I wish we had a D League team. I could see him being better than Baze in a couple years. In what I've read about Holiday, for instance, he first made GSW sit up and take notice last summer.

Popular Post High5
It's not 100% accurate, but the best way I've seen SL summed up is: It doesn't show you who can play, it shows you who can't.

I expect them to play well ... its playground ball with thrown together teams ... the talented players will standout ... my point is that sl is just a way to view your drafted players get some burn.
