Signing a raw big man has nothing to do with trading one of the best backup bigs in the NBA.  Tavares now has time to develop.

 

Now, trading Mike Scott is more likely.

More than likely, one person will be cut (Daye) but maybe we work some magic using SNT  for NGC.

I am hoping that the scouts from the Hawks saw some special in Tavares. If he can rebound and block shots effectively, the Hawks are significantly better particularly in the front court
