That was pre 60 win ECF Hawks.

When has he ever said he's interested in playing for the Hawks.  60 wins or not. I'll wait.

He had his chance to join and be a part of the 60 wins.

Atlanta Hawks center Al Horford will be a free agent at the end of the season and will likely be one of the most sought-after names on the market. Teams interested in Horford may approach the Hawks prior to the trade deadline but as Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders reports, the Hawks see Horford as somewhat untouchable.

League sources peg Horford as a player teams will call about all the way up to the trade deadline, but the stance from the Hawks has him as somewhat untouchable.

Horford has been the face of the franchise since the team dealt Joe Johnson to the Brooklyn Nets prior to the 2013 season. Teams are likely to check on Horford's availability, but it is unlikely Atlanta would pull the trigger unless they become afraid that he could walk away in free agency. Kyler also mentions that the sense is that the Hawks will be ready to offer Horford a full max contract in July.

That could change as the deadline and the risk of losing him gets closer, but given how the Hawks have handled pending free agents under the current leadership, there is a sense the Hawks will offer Horford a full max offer in July, so unless his camp indicates otherwise the Hawks seem poised to hang on to Horford.

Trade buzz around Horford is inevitable and the team's inconsistent start certainly isn't going to help that. Horford is likely to rightfully keep his options open, but unless he gives some indication that he is seriously considering leaving, then expect the Hawks to keep him for at least the remainder of this season.

Dwight's no longer a star. Last time he was a star was in Orlando.

Just say no to a Horford extension.  Tired of wimpy centers.

Joe Johnson.

Whiteside is a really nice player but he is going to get WAY OVERPAID this offseason.  He is actually lucky to not be on a rookie contract.

So is Al going to get overpaid.  Pick your poison.

Howard made his choice and he needs to live with it. A few seasons ago the Hawks created a team that would've fit his skillset like a glove and he didn't even consider them. Let him twist in the wind. No matter what happens before the trade deadline, you absolutely cannot max out Horford with the way he's playing now. A trade will have to happen at some point. But I think the Hawks would rather deal with that AFTER this season.

I know who has said they have no interest in playing for the Hawks.

Horford's unrestricted at the end of the season.  So if there's going to be a trade, it needs to happen before the deadline.

Really hope this isn't true.  I have never been a fan of Dwight Howard's.  Has always had a problem wherever he goes.  It's always about him too.  He's overpaid and plays like two games a week.  Has zero offensive skill left and isn't great defensively either.

But can there still be a sign and trade? We can still offer him the most $$$ in a sign and trade if we decide to go that route?

If he resigns with the Hawks he gets a 5year deal, Other teams, 4 years, SnTs are limited to 4 years - no incentive to work a SnT.   I guess a trade exception could be had.
