It's tough going right now, the build-up of the treatments is really taking it's toll: dry mouth, metallic taste to everything, even though his taste is gone food still tastes nasty, tough to explain, and the burns to his face and neck from the treatments that's the most bothersome for him right now.

Geez. Must be really tough. I can't even begin to imagine how hard it is for him and your family. I just hope you are able to get past it as quickly as possible.

Radiation Therapy complete!!!  The healing begins.

Prognosis is still 'should live a long and healthy life'

Thank you Lord.

Thank you to all you Squawkers for your continued thoughts and prayers for  me and my family.  The abilty to come here and talk Hawks was a welcomed distraction from real life.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

(That was better than Al's right? )

@JayBirdHawk how are the treatments going? Hopefully well! Still in my prayers.

Treatments finished July 5th. Recovery is going well. We have the first of many  follow up visits with the Surgeon then the oncologist.

Thanks to everyone for the continued prayers.

JayBirdHawk

Has your husband's taste buds recovered?  I read where he was so looking forward

to some wonderful food that you had in mind for him when he recovered his taste.

Life isn't grand when everything tastes like cardboard!   Hope Mr. JBH is now doing well.

Thanks for checking in @Gray Mule

Yes, his taste buds are back - not fully - but he can enjoy my cooking now.

He did get his maple glazed NY Steak and plantains.
