Guest
I'm not sure what your issue is but you need to just let it go.

Lurker
Let it go. A hypothetically healthy Carroll would make this team a 54 win team but it postpones their loss to Cleveland a series. (if they even get past Miami or Toronto, which they might but it's not a guarantee). A not healthy Carroll with this team all season and this team is worse, maybe not even in the playoffs. Popular Post Gray Mule
Chances were very good, when we looked closely, we would find an ex Hawk in the finals of the east. Also, there might be an ex Hawk or two trying to get there in the west. We just can't keep them all. Add to DMC, Jason Terry, Joe Johnson and some others I can't think of off hand and I don't want to look them up. Some wouldn't fit here. some we couldn't afford, unlike Cleveland, and some no longer wished to be a part of our team. Some we follow and hope they do well and some we are happy when they don't advance. Such is life. We must learn to move on and not look back. The only question is, do you wish to see DMC and his team succeed because he is an ex Hawk or do you really hope he and his current team fails since he is no longer here? You decide.

Popular Post Duff_Man
If the Hawks could have afforded to pay him and he only played in 26 games, this place would have had a meltdown.
Moderators AHF Posted May 16, 2016 Moderators Report Share Posted May 16, 2016 Obviously it was either him or Sap. Ferry tried to get him to sign a longer deal and he refused. Sooo not sure what the underlying point is that is being made here.
Moderators macdaddy Posted May 16, 2016 Moderators Report Share Posted May 16, 2016 People keep saying we couldn't sign both Sap and DMC but did anyone think to try? I mean why do we have to follow league "rules" regarding "salary caps" and "collective bargaining agreements". Hawks obviously have a loser mentality. We should have signed them both and seen if the league even bothered enforcing anything. I mean you can get away with traveling, palming, hitting people in the head. Maybe the NBA would just swallow their whistle on the cap too.
