Its good that they showed some promise but I wouldn't get too caught up in preseason stats.   I have a feeling they will be spending a lot of time in the dleague this year developing  (which is a good thing).

it would be stupid to put Prince in the dleague. Not a chance.  Bembry maybe, but not Prince.

I would hate that.   These are rookies that look like they are ready for the big show.

It would be a shame if either of them  are in the D-league, while a guy like Tim Hardaway Jr remains on the active roster.  :bad:

This Mike Woodson philosophy that alot of these fans have picked up that there's no way a rookie can contribute in the NBA is ridiculous.

That's a coach Bud thing . not a Woodson Philosophy.
Josh Smith and Horford started in there rookie years and Marvin and Childress played about 30 minutes per game. Even Shelden got decent minutes.
I think this whole thing started with Adreian Payne. He spent most of his rookie year in the D-league
He only played  in 3 games with  the Hawks, before being traded to Minny.

Seriously though, you're right.  That's not a Woodson phenomenon.

No way Prince should be sent down, at least initially until he hits the rookie wall or something. Prince is ready for the big stage. Bembry might be sent but he looks really good too.

I'm not ready to say it is even a Bud thing yet.  Our only good first round pick so far (Dennis) got a big role in the rotation immediately out of camp.  Payne sucked so bad he was eventually traded just to try to recover some of the lost value of our first wasted #15 pick.  Not playing him probably preserved his trade value and he definitely didn't deserve minutes over Scott, etc.

Give Bud a good rookie and I think he will play him.  I'm expecting to see that this season.

YEP, THIS. Besides Dennis, no other 1st rounder deserved to see any court time. (And Pero )

These two rookies do.

Why?  He is not will not be in the rotation to start the season ... DLeague is great for getting these young guys PT and help them to develop instead of sitting on the bench
