Admin capstone21 Posted October 18, 2016 Admin Report Share Posted October 18, 2016 Its good that they showed some promise but I wouldn't get too caught up in preseason stats. I have a feeling they will be spending a lot of time in the dleague this year developing (which is a good thing).
pimp
hmmm, I like seeing that Marquese Chriss is the leading scorer (13.6) , because he's on somebody's Dynasty team. I

Moderators macdaddy Posted October 18, 2016 Moderators Report Share Posted October 18, 2016 Unless Korver has an amazing return to his previous form, I have to think we aren't far from our 2/3 starters/backup being Baze/Korver Thabo/Prince
REHawksFan
Prince better be playing a big role for the team this year. We don't need a DLeague phenom, we need depth and/or a starter at the 3 (I prefer moving Baze to the 2 and KK coming off the bench).

It would be a shame if either of them are in the D-league, while a guy like Tim Hardaway Jr remains on the active roster.
Cwell
This Mike Woodson philosophy that alot of these fans have picked up that there's no way a rookie can contribute in the NBA is ridiculous.

That's a coach Bud thing . not a Woodson Philosophy. Josh Smith and Horford started in there rookie years and Marvin and Childress played about 30 minutes per game. Even Shelden got decent minutes. I think this whole thing started with Adreian Payne. He spent most of his rookie year in the D-league He only played in 3 games with the Hawks, before being traded to Minny. No way Prince should be sent down, at least initially until he hits the rookie wall or something. Prince is ready for the big stage. Bembry might be sent but he looks really good too. I'm not ready to say it is even a Bud thing yet. Our only good first round pick so far (Dennis) got a big role in the rotation immediately out of camp. Payne sucked so bad he was eventually traded just to try to recover some of the lost value of our first wasted #15 pick. Not playing him probably preserved his trade value and he definitely didn't deserve minutes over Scott, etc. Give Bud a good rookie and I think he will play him. I'm expecting to see that this season.
Lurker
Hardaway Jr simply does not deserve a spot in the rotation from what I've seen. Maybe he ends up earning it back, but he should start this season out of the rotation. I bet he ends up not getting back in it.
