Moderators lethalweapon3 Posted January 13, 2018 Moderators Report Share Posted January 13, 2018 This isn't so much a Hawks pick idea, since we're not in the second-round after the low-thirties. But I'm curious about where the NBA second-round-prospect love is for the possible SEC Player of the Year and Wooden Award finalist. The "tweener" label seems to be waning as a red-flag in the post-Draymond age, and Maten seemingly has worked on improving his jumpshooting and free throws. Any Bulldog hoop watchers able to weigh in? ~lw3
willthepureshooter
There's a strong possibility this kid will be the sleeper of the draft. I wouldn't mind picking him up with one of our later first round picks. He doesn't everything right on the court and has the rare clutch gene. I like him Lethal!!
Lurker
Honestly wouldn't surprise me at all if he ends up undrafted completely. He's a good jump shooter, PNR player, and low post big...at the college level where a lot of bigs aren't 6'10"+ and very built. Have watched him dabble in doing more than that but more just isn't there and bigger big men when he's played them have locked him up this year. Not a case like Draymond Green, he can playmake some but isn't a full blown playmaker. When you're a tweener, you simply have to do more, and that's how most of the tweener bigs get drafted.
