I was pleasantly surprised to see the Hawks drafted two players who DID NOT play basketball at MSU who I very much like.  Omari Spellman and KHuerter were two kids I liked watching in college and think they can be solid contributors down the road.

I may not be a longtime veteran of these parts, but Spud has always been a good guy in my opinion.  I would put him, @kg01 and @JayBirdHawk on my Mount Squakmore.

It's definitely a new era.  I became a fan due to Nique, but then put them after the Mookie/Laettner/Smitty days ended.  I didn't start following them again when we had a chance to draft Durant, but ended up with Horford.  Now WLOC is over and we are beginning a new era with Trae and Collins.  Lots to be excited about; I just hope we don't overachieve this season and miss out on our SG in the draft.
