Trae was double teamed 5th most last season

this was my argument for those luka fans...I knew trae was getting more doubles and attention than luka was last season .

and even though I don’t like ESPN like many of you I’m glad they are the ones than ran the stat so no one can shoot it down .

im not saying trae is better than luka but I am saying I felt like defenses paid more attention to trae than luka and I honestly do feel like they tried harder defensively on trae than opponents did on luka.

Always comes down to who makes teammates better as opposed to who just takes the last shot. Trae for that very reason will garner so much attention and he hasn't unloaded on his deep stuff consistently as of yet so....Beware opponents. Nice link JTB.

Call me a crazy Hawks fan but there is no other player I’d rather have in the entire league. Ok, maaaybe one ☝ and that’s Giannis. But imo, Trae and Giannis are the two in the NBA for the foreseeable future. One gets everybody else moving like a machine while the other plows people over with massive dunks and circus moves.

I am so excited for Trae dude. Even if he just caps as 2nd half Trae (he'll be so much better, but even if) he's must watch TV

I would’ve guessed around 10%.  Of those guys Harden is the only other one who actively “invites” the double in order to exploit it with passing touch, timing, and angles.  I’m guessing Steph wasn’t too far down the list.  It’s downright scary to imagine what Trae’s IQ will be when he peaks 5-7 years from now.

He's the only playmaker we have, so it's not surprising. And I imagine double teams are easier on a player that jack up 4-pointers most of the game. Hopefully Cam can develop into a second play maker and free up Trae.
