1st of all, @AHFhas already pointed out that his shooting efficiency miror that of Cam Reddish.  secondly he is a 1 hit wonder like Randle 2 years ago. 3rdly during his breakout season, the Spurs got worse.

He is not a one hit wonder like Randle at all. Randle had an all nba year shooting out of his mind, hitting crazy turn around jumpers and things all season. Hitting shots he basically never used to hit.

Murray is good because his defense will be good anywhere, and his playmaking will also translate. He's not good enough to carry a team to a lot of wins, but he's a perfect second option next to Trae.

Travis needs to stop playing around with Kd and just go get this man

So on what galaxy would you give up 4 1st round picks for a role player?????

You're exaggerating how many picks would go out, and diminishing all his actual strengths. Doesn't seem you really care about how good he is, just focusing on the bad lol. Nothing I say is gonna change your mind, but Murray is in fact good, and he would fill in our biggest hole in the roster.

He should easily be our #1 target as there are no other guards like him available, and Trae is gonna run a good offense anyways, I do not care about his shooting splits. Murray can playmake/drive when Trae gets doubled and that's the biggest thing (outside of defense and rebounding)

Not me...I think the guy is vastly overrated by Hawk fans. But once the mob believes something here, the idea starts rolling like a freight train.

Have you seen him play perimeter defense? Forget the shooting for a second and realize that our offense is not a problem but we MUST upgrade perimeter defense drastically if we are EVER going to compete for championships.

Yeah but you would create other problems trying to fix that one this way. Anywho, doesn't work like that anyway. You don't need 5 1st team all defensive players to play good team defense. Dallas showed you that and certainly Golden state showed you that. You just have to create a defense culture and time spent with one another. Sometimes it's just as simple as that.

He should make teams better then if he is what you've described but he didn't and hasn't.

Yeah, guess all those boards, assists, and steals weren't helping the team be better. He should've carried that sorry spurs team off to the playoffs himself🥴

His net rating is one of the 3 best on the team for anyone that played a reasonable amount of minutes.

maybe the spurs as a whole got worst, but he still did his part WHILE taking a huge step up in his role. Losing a demar Derozan can do that … shocking I know. He was top 4 last year in + - for them and was within .5 of being top 2. to act like he doesn’t impact the court favorably is an interesting stance.

By himself????

2019-20 Spurs had

Lamarcus Aldredge

Demarre Derosen

Rudy Gay

Keldon Johnson

Derrick White

Lonnie Walker

Patty Mills

Along with the apple of your eye Murray

and they still won only 32 games with a defensive rating of 113.5 which was 25th in the league! So stop making sh_t up!!!!

Cool, glad we're talking about Murray 3 years ago 🙄

Why don't you get an actual reason to hate lol

Sound like Trae's critics his freshmen and sophomore year talking about "winning". It's just silly, put current Murray on a better team, and the team wins more games. Idk what your point even is bringing up 2019-2020, players develop

Last year's defensive rating dropped 1 more spot to 16th so at least it is headed in the right direction but the won only 34 out of 82 games. See the pattern here???

Yeah, keep bringing up team stats to explain individual impact, makes a lot of sense

The key work is impact!!! He didn't impact the team's success. Yall celebrate Trae with numbers that support his offensive impact like on off numbers or offensive ratings. Why aren't you doing the same with Murray?

Ya know, even Lebron James and his Lakers had a losing record last season. Worse than the Spurs even. Heck 2 out of his 4 seasons in LA have been losing teams.

Is he not still one of the best players in the world? Surely you would consider him better than Murray right? And his teams are also pretty loaded with talent.

You can't look at the Lakers and use their team record against Lebron, nor should you die on that hill with Murray and the Spurs.
