For me.. I look at it from the writer's perspective.   They wrote that line thinking...  What Fanbase would hurt us the least...

This is where you wish you could bet the media on whether we make the playoffs or not.  Media has a consistent track record of underestimating the Hawks.  Last year was probably an exception.

ps It kind of stinks because I remember Kev Malone had more game that any of them combined and nobody wanted him because of his appearance they thought he couldn’t ball 🏀 😂

Unfortunately they have to appeal to the masses. And the national media pushes Hawks suck so they have to go along with it to please all the followers of national media.

I see The Office as the last real representation of Generation X comedy that was accepted by popular culture.    I can’t even believe they still run it in syndication with how snowflaked and sensitive later generations are.  I’m sure this joke was written during the Woodson years.  For what’s its worth they’ve taken shots at the Eagles.
