Adding an All-NBA player and still finishing with virtually the same record as a season before tells you all you need to know about his team IQ. That and the Thunder would be about 5 points better a night if you swap Carmelo for Roberson.
Alex
Wolves are trash, but will make the playoffs. That schedule down the stretch is laughable.

Trash seems harsh. They were the 3rd seed in the West when Butler went down and presumably played a harder schedule since they had a bunch of cupcakes yet to come.

I always thought The Wolves benefited from teams like the Thunder, Spurs and at that time the Blazers not playing up to expectation. They were a decent to slightly above average team with Butler. Moderators lethalweapon3 Posted April 2, 2018 Moderators Report Share Posted April 2, 2018 Wolves didn't get a good night's sleep, I see! No matter, Looks like we caught a break with the Clips (and, for now, the Pels) losing at home, while the Nuggs are losing late. ~lw3

The Hawks will win just as many playoff series as your beloved Wolves too.

To say T-Wolves are trash is hyperbole. I don’t think teams are trash when they aren’t contenders yet make the playoffs. T-Wolves aren’t a treadmill team either because KAT is a superstar they can build around. I agree about Thibs taxing starters and that has already harmed careers of some of his past players but he is a decent coach. He wins, period, almost every year he's been a head coach. He lets his starters play too many minutes. He has yet to learn that giving KAT as many shots a game as possible should be the plan every game. Those are valid criticisms. Saying he is a poor coach is just silly. Wolves have depth otherwise they would have folded when Butler went down. Tyus Jones, Crawford, Dieng and Belly are as good as anyone's depth.

Premium Member Sothron Posted April 4, 2018 Premium Member Report Share Posted April 4, 2018 Yeah, it is killing me. Losing Teague to injury at the end of the year in addition to Butler is just killing the Wolves.
KB21
It's going to be so fitting to see the Denver Nuggets be the team to knock the Timberwolves out of the playoffs and also knock Atlanta out of getting that pick. Jokic and Millsap are developing that chemistry. Edited April 4, 2018 by KB21

Moderators AHF Posted April 4, 2018 Moderators Report Share Posted April 4, 2018 Denver ended up super lucky with the timing on these key games against the T-Wolves given their peak health and Minnesota's low point.
